Southend in that first half were probably the best attacking threat we’ve faced all season for me. We aren’t really used to dealing with that this season and I think it showed. That’s not to sound too harsh on us, we’d have been fair value for the draw if we’d got it.

@CJPhillips1982 Poor first half in tough conditions. Much better 2nd and fully deserved the win. Thought we dominated. Subs were made at a perfect time and provided fresh legs when the opposition were clearly showing signs of tiring. Thought our fitness levels were superior. Roll on Tuesday

After training yesterday, the England squad stopped to watch the end of Spurs U14’s 5-2 win over Birmingham U14s - 13 year-old goalkeeper Teddy Brown also saved this penalty in front of them.🤯🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Thomas Tuchel watched around half an hour of the game before he and the squad headed off - what an incredible moment it must’ve been for the players, getting to perform in front of some of their idols.👏
