This reporter was previously the Australian Broadcasting Corporations China correspondent. His reporting even back prior to 2016 was notoriously anti-China.

Exit Polls showed that US voters themselves ranked “Foreign Policy” at a lowly 4% in their issues of importance.
The US is by far the most destructive force for evil globally. Most of the US populace either do not know this, do not believe this - or just do not care.
US diplomacy - speak softly but carry a big stick.
The “shining light on the hill”? What bullshit.

@YouAreLobbyLud That’s evident in some of the comments I’ve read online. A good leader brings out the best in people; a bad leader empowers the worst of human nature.

In regard to the havoc wreaked by the US, their voters either do not know, do not believe or do not care…

The United States promotes war, death and destruction around the world, leveraging off its 800 globally-distributed military bases. It was therefore interesting that Exit Polls consistently showed “Foreign Policy” as ranking a lowly 4% in importance to US voters.

The United States has a plethora of “defence” treaties spanning the world. Most allow the US to establish hundreds of heavily armed military bases.
China has one defence treaty - with North Korea. It has only one overseas military base, in Djibouti, established under UN auspices.
The US has clearly become a highly aggressive war-mongering bully, causing continuous death and destruction around the globe.

@peterp772000 @commiepommie The disinformation is yours.
China is not based on Marxism. Maybe it tried to be so, but this is 2024 and even a cursory look at how China works today shows how dopey the 'Marxist' label is.
Buggered if I know what history book gave you the 'most violent region in the world'

Australia buys $7 billion of US missiles - another huge defence spend without a clear business case - without a timetable - without sovereign control - and without understanding what else we could do with this like - feed, house and care for people. smh.com.au/politics/feder…

We in Australia are in a hopeless situation. Zionism has infiltrated our entire Parliament. Each day the Genocide gets worse and each day @AlboMP and his appalling gov't bows to the war mongering US/UK and Israel. I have never known a time in my life when I have felt so betrayed!

With massive new funding announced by US Congress to fund anti-China misinformation and propaganda, it is worthwhile to reflect on why Australians seem particularly susceptible to its malign influence.
