Instead of a war on poverty, they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me

At this point, I think I'll have to write a Freebsd RISC-V AMD GPU driver for my hifive unmatched. Never done anything driver but I'm desperate at this point even if it means I gotta VibeCode it.

How it feels designing my first game on Android and porting it to Freebsd :

And Claude was the only one reasonable enough to realise that the task wasn't possible for the time given. Claude might be the first LLM with a real-time reasoning approach

Gemini was the worst one yet. Hallucinating a 48hrs instructed task in 14s. Am not after if the results were right or wrong, it couldn't obey the instructions given so it result isn't worth reviewing

I'm now 100.2% sure that LLM has no real-time reasoning at all, making them unfit for reaching AGI. Tested grok 4, Chatgpt 5, and Gemini 3, none of them are self aware of "Time" itself. How can you finish a 48hrs instructed task in 41 seconds and hallucinates doing it in 48hrs??
Richard Milier tweet media
Richard Milier@Richard_Milier

It seems like LLM don't have real-time reasoning but rather static reasoning by using existing stored data from training in it database. For example if you ask Chatgpt to calculate how long you take a walk without access to a timer it hallucinates an answer rather than calculate

@lithos_graphein the recent artificial DRAM shortages should teach most Fabless companies like AMD, apple to build their own private memory fabs. but no one wants to burn their billions in fab cuz they're scared of losing but would happily burn billions to the AI bubble and still lose anyway

@lithos_graphein Maybe one day, it will be really nice to build the first Fab in the western Sahara one day

Want a chip fab but never done it before? Well, VFabTech was just founded to help real men have semiconductor fabs—from cleanroom planning and equipment purchases/installs and engineer training to full operational readiness. What are you even waiting for?

@lithos_graphein I will suggest they just go and buy Nikon lithography tech and patent. Especially their abandoned EUVL 1 project's. It's a better option than building from scratch.

I'll only use rust for app development and GUI, avoid it for anything below system drivers. Swift looks good but I'll wait still it's supported on Freebsd RISC-V

@kvassily @lithos_graphein @pmarca Definitely not with LLM, maybe something around a broad neuromorphic model. They're more capable of the level of reasoning required in the semiconductor industries

@Richard_Milier I'm really sorry, but regarding this project, I'm just a member specializing in graphics, so I don't know much about it. There will be a demo game, but I can tell you that developing a game on this engine is extremely difficult.

Imagine a world where OEM didn't depend on windows and x64 to actually compete with Apple. We have Arm64/RISC-V64 and Linux/Freebsd. Every other dependency is either replaced or overcome. It's a better risk than to lose everything to Apple anyway

@Anonazombie We have no intention of developing RPCS3 for Android devices. There are also no plans to support new OSes besides the currently supported ones: Linux, Windows, macOS and FreeBSD.

We have achieved a new breakthrough on emulating PS3's Cell CPU! Elad discovered new SPU usage patterns and coded ways to generate more optimised PC code from them - benefitting all games! Twisted Metal, one of the most SPU-intensive games, sees a 5-7% Average FPS improvement.

Freebsd is actually good enough to compete with modern XNU or apple operating system (IOS & MacOS). If you wanna compete with apple directly use something that is Good enough indirectly.
