Trump’s war in Iran was a CHOICE, not a NECESSITY. It is shameful and disingenuous for a Secretary of Defense to insinuate that starting a war has not put our servicemembers more in harm’s way. Tragically, we know that is not the case.

@krassenstein Democrats will most certainly win the house. That is just how it works at the midterm election. They will probably pick up Susan Collins seat in the Senate, but I doubt they get any other republican Senate seats.

There is now a 53% chance of Democrats winning both the House and Senate in 2026. I expect this number to slowly creep up throughout the year as Trump continues to turn off even his own base.

The President of the United States cannot threaten genocide. That kind of erratic behavior is catastrophically dangerous and goes against everything we stand for as Americans. Congress must put him in check before he ever pushes so close to the brink again.

This will be the FOURTH time we’ve forced a War Powers vote.   This time, after threats from @POTUS to extinguish an entire civilization, Republicans must join us in voting to end this war once and for all.   Our country is worse off because of Trump’s strategic ineptitude. Enough is enough. Pass the War Powers Resolution, end the war.

Trump is a military moron.  His war, with a price tag of $44 billion and $4+ gas, made us worse off today than we were when he started it. And if he restarts this war we will be in even worse shape. We must pass our War Powers Resolution to end this war for good.

This weekend's daring rescue of U.S. servicemembers shot down over Iran is a reminder of the grave peril that our troops face as the war with Iran continues. Two thoughts this Monday. 1. This is what America looks like with a President who is both a sociopath AND losing his mind. 2. It’s a really good time again to remind every member of the U.S. military that they swore an oath to the Constitution, not any individual, and that they have a duty/they are legally obligated to disobey illegal orders.

@EdKrassen There will be no nukes. The military action will be over soon by definition. Iran is unlikely to ever surrender. The US will pull back its ships because there are no more targets left.

@EdKrassen Iran is holding out to keep their intent of nuclear weapons, closure of the strait of Hormuz, and support of terrorism. They are about to pay a heavy price for that and it is about time. Number 1 on the list needs to be Iran will no longer pursue or possess enriched uranium.

Threatening to target power plants and other non-military targets is not strength. If those words become orders to destroy civilian infrastructure with no valid military purpose, it’s hard to see how they would not violate the laws of armed conflict. America leads best with strength, discipline, and professionalism. Illegal orders to make civilians suffer would be a black mark on our military and our country.
