A school counselor in Oregon lost his job — and just lost his appeal — for keeping books in his office that affirmed basic biological reality.
The titles?

After a colleague complained, the district told him the books could stay only if children couldn’t see them.
Then a hostile teacher sent eighth graders into his office. He let them look at the books. It was recorded. He was fired.
A 2-1 Ninth Circuit panel just ruled he had no First Amendment right to display the materials during school hours.

LGBTQers are melting down over a new billboard in Lima, Ohio, that says "No child has two dads" and "No child has two moms."
The LGBTQ community complains they are being targeted, claiming the sign is "hateful."
The billboard is attributed to the organization Them Before Us, a "global movement defending children’s right to their mother and father."
Them Before Us is firing back at the LGBTQ critics, saying that a "mother and a father are a fact, not a feeling."

Muslim staff at a special nursing home for the elderly are putting hijabs on the elderly residents.
In the video, the caption says the elderly people look happy wearing the hijab, but there’s no audio. It looks like they’re putting hijabs on elderly people who no longer have the capacity to judge or consent.

I honestly can’t stop crying. At a special nursing home in Japan, Muslim staff members put hijabs on elderly residents. In the video, they claim that wearing the hijabs made the residents happy and unusually talkative. But did those elderly residents truly understand what they were being made to wear? Were they genuinely free to say no? Putting religious clothing on vulnerable elderly people whose judgment may be impaired, then presenting it publicly as “cultural exchange,” is deeply disturbing. This is elder abuse.

I am no expert on US laws, especially when it comes to "Stand Your Ground" laws and the "Castle Doctrine," but this strikes me as a potentially dicey situation. A man catches a burglar in his home, shotgun raised. The burglar has a firearm in his possession, but it is still in his pocket. As far as the visuals imply, the burglar is not exactly an active threat (especially with the appearance of him having his hands raised). Still, the homeowner fires his weapon.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel like this may not look too good in court, should the exact order of events be revealed to the justice system.
And to make it absolutely clear, I am not the type of guy who sides with the burglar. I am concerned for the homeowner in this case, and would rather not see him getting into legal trouble later on.

It would take 200 million more white shoplifters to match what black people shoplift.
