I downloaded FIFA 17 to play career mode again a few months ago It is so much better than the career mode we have now that takes so much effort to navigate the pointlessly complex menus

@macourinho @OfficialCutzy Ive literally never been caught offside since FIFA 22 because the AI just follows you back on a counter attack until it finds its position and stays there, the gameplay is way worse and way less varied on newer games

@FalaCruzmaltino @fplsebv Career mode on high difficulty was class, the new passing mechanics they added brought so much realism and options to create.
Even the seasons gameplay was unreal really fair and competitive.

FIFA 14 - 10/10, possibly the best sports game of all time
FIFA 15 - 10/10
FIFA 16 - 6/10
FIFA 17 - 9/10

I think if you were to pick the best fifa era it’s gotta be FIFA 14-17. Peak gameplay, peak Ultimate Team, peak Youtube content, peak music. All during school aswell>

@OfficialCutzy Neither of those things solve the problems, AI is still way too easy to play against and slower development just makes it so my 18 year olds just need to be 20 to become 90 overall gods

@OfficialCutzy It shouldn’t ever be a thing automated or not, this “sharpness” thing you get through training makes your players way too good way too fast, there is absolutely 0 difficulty anymore with the combination of sharpness through training, development plans and AI being terrible

@OfficialCutzy I shouldn’t have to ever automate training through the god awful menus and micromanage whether to make it more intense or not depending on amount of games per week
Not to mention how absurdly broken the development plans are, career mode is far easier and much worse now
