Why is Pete Buttigieg holding a political event at Will Rogers High School Athletic Complex? Taxpayer-funded facilities aren’t supposed to double as campaign venues. Public schools 🚫 political stages.

@DefiyantlyFree "where if you work hard and you do well and you earn a lot of money" - this is where your attempty to lecture Paddy breaks down. Specifcally, the final part. It is very rare for anyone to "earn a lot of money" no matter how hard they work and how well they do.

My husband and I are both J6ers. For four years, we endured hell starting with an early morning raid, arrests, pretrial supervision, dozens of court hearings, house arrest, and prison time. We lost the business we built from the ground up. Our families suffered right alongside us. We’re far from alone. 1,600 of us had our lives completely upended by the January 6 prosecutions. I speak for many when I say we want restitution for the homes, businesses, savings, and years stolen. President Trump @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, you’ve already delivered justice through pardons. Now please make restitution happen for those of us who sacrificed everything.

@DeeDobson139512 @scieseek178733 Then you should be for raising the minimum wage. Because right now people on minimum wage often have to get government benefits just to survive despite having sometimes 2-3 jobs. Why do you want to keep working people on welfare?

@ChrisMartzWX This guy wants to remove taxes from landowners, tax goods so poor people struggle even more, remove estate taxes so the rich families continue to stay rich like old-style nobles and take away social security from the elderly.

I don’t want to hear anyone’s defense of the personal property tax. You should not have to pay any taxes on property you (allegedly) own after the sale of purchase. That’s the whole point of private ownership. Am I right? The police, firefighters, and schools can be funded through a consumption-based sales tax on optional purchases that are not required for actually living. And, if you don’t have kids that are in school, then you shouldn’t be forced to pay for public schools at all. For instance, I have no kids (yet), so why am I paying for others’ kids to go to school? Also, if everyone in a community uses the same basic services, why do people with more (or more valuable) land get taxed more to pay for the same things? And still, nobody has answered my other question. If we have to pay property taxes on land (and even vehicles in some states), then why is furniture not given a property tax? Why is your cookware not given a property tax? Why are clothes not taxed annually because that’s property too? Right? Why is it only land, motor vehicles, and equipment that get taxed on an annual basis according to the value the government determines it to be? The only fair tax to levy are consumption-based sales taxes (on non-essential items) at the sale of purchase and tariffs on imported goods. But if you insist that there mathematically must be an income tax (which I haven’t seen the evidence for because you’re really just admitting that government spending is out of control) to ensure that things get proper funding (assuming no fraud is occurring, which is naive), then it should be a flat tax. High income earners should not be punished because they’re successful. Estate tax needs to go. Inheritance tax needs to go. Capital gains tax needs to go. The payroll tax needs to go (along with the Social Security Ponzi scheme it funds). Annual registration fees also need to go. The property tax makes no sense because it is applied inconsistently and selectively. Again, why are land and vehicles taxed annually according to their value, but not other property? The income tax would only make sense if it were a flat tax applied to all income brackets at a low rate (<15% federal, and very small at the state level—or even nonexistent altogether where tourism is high, like it is in Florida where there is no state income tax). The sales tax is the only tax that makes fiscal sense. When other taxes are lower, people spend more because they have more disposable income. And, the rich would pay more because they buy more luxury items. The poor would not be hurt (like claimed) because most of the things they’d buy wouldn’t be taxed. Instead of defending the status quo, we should be looking for ways to downsize the government, reduce spending, and in turn give people more money in their pockets to spend at their will. That is true freedom in an American sense.

I had received some questions about President @realDonaldTrump's recent posts, and here are my thoughts: I do not believe President Trump would knowingly depict himself as Jesus Christ—that would certainly be inappropriate. I’m thankful the President has made it very clear that this was not at all what he thought the AI-generated image was representing—he thought it was a doctor helping someone, and when he learned of the concerns, he immediately removed the post. When I looked at the illustration, I didn’t jump to the same conclusion as some. There were no spiritual references—no halo, there were no crosses, no angels. It was a flag, soldiers, a nurse, fighter planes, eagles, the Statue of Liberty, and I think this is a lot to do about nothing. There is so much ill-intended speculation. I think his enemies are always foaming at the mouth at any possible opportunity to make him look bad. And the illustration from someone else he reposted on Truth Social yesterday, I must say that I like the fact that this is a picture of Jesus whispering in his ear, or at least His hand on his shoulder, guiding him. We all need that—we all need to be listening to Jesus. Again, I think there is an attempt to spin this into something that it isn’t. Remember, President Trump didn’t draw this, he didn’t create it, he reposted it on his social media because he thought it was nice—I would have to agree. I’m not a Catholic, I’m an evangelical, but I appreciate how President Trump has defended religious freedom for people of all faiths, including millions of evangelicals and Catholics in the U.S. and around the world. He is the most pro-Christian, pro-life president in my lifetime, and he doesn’t shy away from it. I would hope that the President and Pope Leo can meet at some point, and that the Pope would have the opportunity to thank the President for his efforts to protect religious liberty for Catholics and people of all faiths.

Happy Tax Day—where the government celebrates stealing your hard earned money. We had a revolution over a 2% tax on a beverage. Now—we let the government tax us into oblivion and we sit here like nothing is going on. Our politicians are making millions, while we scrap by.

We only have 7 tax brackets. The fallacy of the flat tax idea is that reducing from 7 to 1 bracket will make any difference. The problem with the tax code is that it shifts the burden of taxes onto the backs of the middle class instead of distributing it fairly and making the rich pay their share.

Flat tax. Whether you make $1000 or $100 million. A fixed percentage for everybody. And that’s it. A one-page tax form. No bullshit. Everybody pays a reasonable and equitable amount. Everyone - from the wealthiest to the poorest - have skin in the game.

American says her child was sick, her throat was swollen, so they went to the doctor Everything was going normal, the staff were happy and helpful, until they asked if her daughter was up to date on her vaccines She says no. The mood changed, they became extremely unhelpful and told her she needs to go directly to the emergency room for care Many people in the comments say they have the same experience where all the sudden doctor don’t want to help when you say your child doesn’t do all the recommended vaccines It’s a money grab. They want you to get vaccinated so turn can all make more money, and sending you to the emergency room is more money for the hospital

You are already living in a socialist country. The left just wants to drop the disguise and go full communist. Look at the federal budget. The vast majority of the money you earn is confiscated and funneled into endless social services. We are currently funding housing, food, and healthcare for millions of people who have never contributed a single dime to the system. You work forty hours a week so someone else can stay home. This is not capitalism. It is a massive wealth redistribution scheme engineered to buy votes. We heavily penalize the people who actually produce value. We heavily reward the people who consume it. We punish the builders to subsidize the burdens. Eventually, the entire machine just grinds to a complete halt. Tell me I am wrong in the replies.

I am a practicing Catholic. Have been all my life, waaaayyyy over half a century. But I’ve had it with these damn popes getting political!! I couldn’t stand Pope Francis. 😤 We catholics are taught to believe that the pope is divinely chosen. That he is infallible. But I’m sorry, this one and the last one are hardly infallible. 😒 I had hopes for Leo but I had also heard that he was a liberal early on. Already, I can see he’s no better than Francis. Please, stop making Catholics feel like we have to choose. Because I’ll choose Jesus always, but you are NOT Jesus!! I will NOT change my stance on my president! I will support him, however, the one thing I CAN control? How much money I put in the kitty every week. 💰 And right now, I’m not putting ANY money in that’s intended for Rome. Until the holy father stays out of our politics, he gets not one. red. cent. from me! His job is to lead people to Christ like a shepherd, not to “pontificate” on @POTUS @DonaldTrump! @Pontifex

"America" isn't unaffordable; big government is. Decades of bureaucratic expansion, money-printing, restricted competition, and market interference have driven up the cost of housing, food, healthcare, and taxes. Both parties own this $39 trillion debt crisis, but Democrats have led the charge with their endless spending, regulations, and welfare. Blaming "America" and "Trump" is disingenuous. Take accountability.

I founded Pastors for Trump and have met with President Trump several times in the Oval Office. Every time people enter the Oval, he immediately points out two golden angels above the doors coming in and then tells the story of how an angel was with him in Butler, PA, and that God spared his life. President Trump has repeatedly stated how Jesus Christ is not only Lord but his personal Lord and Savior. I can confidently say that President Trump does not remotely think he is Jesus, but President Trump knows that he needs God’s blessing and favor to accomplish the mission of Making America Great Again.
