@GiottoWalker And I can only speak anecdotally my brother was an artist moved on now to different things. Literally doesnt care about Ai art at all. Uses it himself. He can draw photo realistic portraits easily and he thinks of Ai as just another tool

@RiversideCrooks My problem is less the wage though that is part of it... but more taunting the artist with we'll replace you with ai rhetoric. Artists are allowed to decide for themselves what is a viable wage for them. But as far as I read there was no goodwill to begin with.

Asking people to work below minimum wage for a month or more in most developed countries so you can have an online 2d persona and then getting pissy about it when they respectfully decline and threatening ai against a mostly art driven community when people call you out is some wild shit. And here I am about to work on getting enough cash flow to offer my future and past artists royalties.

@RiversideCrooks Even if we say a project deliverable is 40 hrs thats still barely livable borderline poverty in some areas. Of the US. Not to mention having to deal with the customer service side of the equation. I get what you're arguing but I still stand by my sub livable wage.

@GiottoWalker concepting, sketching, refining, waiting on feedback. It’s not an hourly job, it’s project based. That same 600 piece might be 20 tp 40 hours total, not 120 hours. That alone completely changes your hourly breakdown.
