Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has urged opposition leaders to unite ahead of the 2027 General Election, saying a joint ticket is the only way to defeat President William Ruto.
Speaking during the burial service of the late Ann Nyatoro, mother of EALA MP Kanini Kega, Sifuna said Ruto should not get another chance to be president.
Sifuna: We are convinced that there is no other formula other than a united ticket against William Ruto. So, whatever needs to be done, if we can forgive each other, let’s forgive each other, but let’s not give our brother another chance to become president.

@AbdulahiAdan10 In your own country… even in the desert, they will still walk side by side with the vehicle. Pathetic behaviour
English

@lynn_ngugi1 @davidjesse_ I think international partnerships are essential if we are to remain relevant in the global stage. We also need allies for advancement in technology and knowledge sharing. The only thing I dislike is the immunity things diplomats enjoy and exploitation without consequences
English

@davidjesse_ Lol,
Go receive your 527 bob in peace
Tuma number nikuongezee 1K
Fool😏 Simple reasoning…What exactly do you need France Youth for? Just answer without emotions and irrelevant thesis
English

Lynn Ngugi was very much around when Uhuru hosted Barack Obama.
She already had a big platform.
We did not see her saying African youth do not need America then.
So what exactly has changed now?
A lot of the backlash against Ruto is disguised as ideological resistance, yet beneath the surface, it is plainly rooted in ethnic discomfort and the reality of power shifting away from Mt. Kenya’s political establishment.
These are people who were comfortable with foreign influence, Western partnerships, and elite political arrangements for years as long as the political center of gravity remained favorable to them..

@disclosetv @africaupdates African Youths don’t need France..but the entire France needs Africa. Stop over estimating your role in this continent!!!
English

@ignyharaz2 CBD should not even have private vehicles. That place is already congested with taxi everywhere plus the pedestrians are too many...it should just be converted into a pedestrian only zone
English

We just need one sane Government to invest in smart and digital transport system within the city buana.
Commuting to Nairobi as a corporate poor passenger is Very expensive than payinga monthly Rent.
Wastes time, high traffic, high accident , over dependency on petrol+ diesel na pollution ya nganya na vinyambi.
Kutoka Kitengela or Mlolongo to CBD unahitaji around 200 bob jioni na asubuhi.
Developing a railway line can cut off hizo city hoppers kabisa. CBD ibaki na private vehicle.
Psv zituchukulie Ruiru na outskirts of town.
Check how Beijing is working as a smart city full dependent on high trains.
English

@fredesgn @ignyharaz2 The place is too bare...one or two trees in vicinity
English

@BABOWINO2027 @amerix @SakajaJohnson Naona hapa watu wanafungwa macho sana na CBD... Do people live in CBD. What about other environs...east side especially
English

@amerix Tembea cbd uone sakaja @SakajaJohnson anachapa kazi. Nairobi has been having the worst financial status since devolution since it has been depending on its own revenue when all its residents come from 47 counties hence becoming challenging to manage development.80b is atwork now
English

@sonofsomali @droid254 I have complained about those like forever.. it even goes beyond to the tourist in parks where the maasai welcome just tourists with dances. So pathetic
English

How come when African leaders visit Europe, they’re never welcomed by dancing white women? These leaders are some of the biggest grifters around.

Jambo! Africa Forward!
English

@SomoinaKapeen I think our democratic processes take a center stage.. we are quite welcoming and the service industry is well established. Most of the investments in kenya are into service industry

@Alfayaz11 @047County @KURAroads @KeNHAKenya Investment takes priority. Do you think if this road is well renovated expressway will get business!
English

Almost every week for close to three years now, I have been highlighting the pathetic state of Westlands and its environs to the relevant authorities, from @047County to @KURAroads and @KeNHAKenya , yet to date, no meaningful action has been taken. I even went a step further and engaged my brother @MuriraKinoti personally, very objectively. At first, it all seemed positive. The confidence, assurances and promises made gave the impression that someone was genuinely concerned and willing to act. Unfortunately, it seems the kitchen got too hot and he chose to bolt.
Like I always say, we must stop celebrating mediocrity and accepting poor standards and poor service. We are the employers. We are the taxpayers. We deserve better.
It is what it is.
As usual, pictures in the thread.

@moneyacademyKE If only we had a vibrant textile industry that can can supply quality and cheap clothes in kenya then this would not be an issues even if they did 50%
English

@georgediano You really know how to drive narratives.. only fools will believe this script
English

In Emurua Dikirr, the DCP candidate told women that he doesn’t have money to bribe them or enough DCP merchandise to dish out like the UDA candidate. But the women told him he didn’t need to give them handouts,, they would turn out to support him wholeheartedly because he is their son. Today, the women turned up in large numbers wearing green carrier bags on their heads, a symbolic gesture showing that they are ready to support him to the very end. This comes a day after Ngeno’s wife hosted them & gave each woman 1k in support of the UDA candidate. Kipsigis people are something Else!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥

English

@kilundeezy I’m think the usage of the word ‘cushitic community’ sounds better than ‘somali community’
English

@Bossyator They actually look nice… the issue is on affordability. Giving sawe is strategic to increase the number of tenants in the name of living with the world record holder in the same compound
English

Affordable Housing Project units built in Emgwen in Nandi County remain 99% unoccupied exactly 4months after its completion. Just one unit is occupied by Sabastian Sawe who was awarded after jetting back to the country for breaking marathon's world record.
This Boma Yangu Estate in Kapsabet Town, features 220 modern housing units across nine blocks, including 60 studio units, 20 one-bedroom units, 120 two-bedroom units, and 20 three-bedroom units.
The project seems to be a white elephant already because tell me, who will live in these concrete caves except maybe migrant workers? 2. How can one leave the serenity of Nandi land and go live like a hermit in a bedsitter on tenth floor?

@Lasterbosire Snake oil ndo gani Tena... What kind of business are you guys doing out here bana
English

I am inspired by other tweeps reminding us that they were selling snake oil.
PROJECTS that -: Failed / Incomplete / Never Took Off
1. The 100 dams were NEVER built.
2. Mothers of newborns have NEVER received diapers for three months.
3. Kenyans are NOT receiving free medical treatment.
Now they are back on the campaign trail, selling snake oil again.

🚨 BREAKING: FULL DETAILS OF THE VALVERDE VS TCHOUAMENI STORY:
- Yesterday, in training, Tchouaméni gave a hard tackle to Fede, which Fede did NOT like AT ALL. Tchouaméni insisted he didn't do it on purpose, but Fede did NOT accept his apology. Fede then kept trying to RETALIATE and tackling Tchouaméni very hard.
- After training, the two players had a VERBAL fight, it was not physical.
- Today, at the start of training, Fede REFUSED to shake Tchouaméni's hand. Then, as soon as training started, Fede tackled Tchouaméni VERY HARD, even lifting him off the floor.
- Alvaro Arbeloa tried to solve the situation by putting them ON THE SAME TEAM.
- This did NOT WORK, and they kept fighting.
- After training, in the dressing room, they started PHYSICALLY fighting, with other players trying to physically separate them.
- Fede Valeverde then fell to the floor, head split open, unconscious.
- He was taken to the hospital, with Arbeloa at his side.
- Real Madrid have decided to PUNISH BOTH of them.
