🇮🇪 BREAKING: Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin could RESIGN after senior figures in his party called for an “urgent meeting” in the wake of recent protests. If he steps down, it could trigger a General Election, with patriotic candidates widely expected to make MAJOR gains! 🤞

@TheBarakaShow 400 out of the 15,000 is a small number , and it could be because they got overtime for the weekend and 400 expenses , so didn’t need Monday moring

🇮🇪🔥PANIC as POLICE REFUSE to WORK in IRELAND against its PEOPLE🚨 400 IRISH GARDAI CALLED IN SICK “unfit to work” Rumour has it that a huge number of gardai refused to go into work yesterday to counter the protests. If this is true, it’s a huge statement and could be a sign of things to come. We are witnessing a major revolt against the Irish Government right now.🔥🇮🇪

@_PeterRyan Why is the country in such a bad way that they need todo emergency measures due to the fuel price going up , and good stable run country should easily be able to handle that … so yes the government ain’t running the country right

Recap of Irish fuel protests: > Trump attacks Iran > Straight of Hormuz closes > global oil and gas shortage > prices go up > gov plans emergency measures > consulted with formal civilian authorities like farmer associations which represent most > handful of business owners (of farms, truck companies, etc) met to plan fuel protests > alleged that farmer associations had a hand in secret as well as Sinn Fein > business owners send their expensive tractors to key locations > regular decent people join out of frustration > all told, hundreds of the core group with thousands of social media second wave joiners > regular protests spiral into full on blockades of key roads and refineries > a critical public resource now held hostage during a shortage of that resource > government says you can’t do that and gets them out of the way > American rightoid grifters find out about these events and amplify it all over the place with distorted messaging even Republican politicians tweeting about it > The Irish left, mostly SF and PBP, glom onto protests and also amplify > Sunday comes and gov announced deal of about half a billion, lower taxes, and cash handouts to business owner core of protests > Most of the core then leave, some hangerons > the second wave social media joiners still hanging around > second wave calls for national strike…nothing happened > SF led a no confidence vote in the Dail > FGFF won the vote of confidence > Fin

@PopeSeneca @Ireland_Votes Short sighted of them , because if they voted no then some of them might stand chance of re-election, but the fact they didn’t they put the nail in the coffin

@Robbie_Reasons @CilComLFC They won’t have the numbers , they should of only went after the FG and FF leaders , because some of their members would of stabbed them in the back , then they would of had the numbers to vote them 2 out

Rumours that the Irish government could collapse tomorrow following the tabling of a motion of no confidence. This could have huge implications across the EU and with the UK. HT @CilComLFC

@theeconlit @IrishTimes It’s not them to blame , they have to sit there till the hospital can take them , that’s just standard protocol you can’t bring someone in needing care and then just dump them at the door as they have a duty of care till the hospital take them in .

@IrishTimes Do they get overtime or half pay or no pay when sitting in the front of the ambulance for 4-6 hours with the stable patient in the back , while all parked up in the hospital car park. This is the one of the biggest waste of time, money and resources in the health system

Those that throw negative comments towards our @defenceforces remember they are a tool of the long reaching arm of the government they are 1st line and last line they follow orders . You need to be angry with those that request such orders to be issued

So they ended their protest once the government announced what is in effect, an industry specific subsidy. Anyone who said ‘they’re doing it for all of us’ was taken for a fool.
Marc O'Driscoll@MarcODriscoll_

Protestors restricting access to Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford have stood down their protest. The vehicles blocking the village of Kilrane have been moved away and the fuel protesters themselves have now walked away peacefully. @rtenews

@PotatoMcWhiskey Right right , you know that cost then has to be passed onto us the consumer right …. Even if they didn’t pass it onto us that would mean they are running at a loss and the revenue would step in and then no food
