@JohnnyC4077 @CMB1969 @MerriamWebster Well, I'm from Ireland and since it's our national holiday, I believe WE should dictate what it's called. Chuck is correct. It's St Paddy's Day (Lá Fhéile Pádraig). If you are spelling it Patty, you are simply spelling it wrong. Paddy is short for Patrick, and Patty is not.✌️🇮🇪

The East Village is remembering Stella Soltowska of Ray’s Candy Store (113 Avenue A). Stella, who worked at Ray’s for nearly 50 years, died last week at age 80. There's now a small memorial outside the shop. 📷 @Joy_of_photos
