I can honestly say I've never had so many foul, hateful replies to my tweets as I've had today. Threats, wishes of harm and the most disgusting language ever. It's one of two things. The children are on school holidays and bored. Or, Reform are doing so well, the opposition are seriously rattled. Either way, I couldn't give two hoots what they say. 🤷‍♂️

Harry’s life was one of extraordinary resilience and service. During the war, he served in the Royal Navy and was one of just 25 survivors when HMS Wakeful was sunk during the Dunkirk evacuation — an experience that speaks to the courage of his generation. After the war, he continued to serve his country in a different way, dedicating his life to education and later the RAF’s educational branch, before returning to teaching. Even in his later years, Harry remained active in his community, sharing his story and inspiring others. He often credited his long life to “a daily tot of navy rum and not eating after 6 pm.” Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time.
