@GWRHelp I will contact prosecutions as you suggest. This was clearly exploitation of a 17 year-old. He was fined 3x his ticket price & his return ticket confiscated because his railcard had expired. Shocking

@GWRHelp My 17 year-old was fined £70 for out-of-date railcard today, humiliated by train guard & return ticket was taken away so he can’t get home. What the heck?????

@Rob_Kendall That is what they are like. Could have bought new railcard online for instant delivery to railcard app but some conductors prefer confrontation & commission from excess fares. Email full info inc photo of all tics n receipts to gwrfeedback@gwr.com to complain

@GWRHelp I’d like to why my son’s return ticket for Sunday was confiscated. He could have bought a new railcard by the time he came home. This is wholly unreasonable

@Rob_Kendall The fine would have been given by our revenue team. If the railcard was out of date the ticket would of been invalid. You can find our revenue protection policy here gwr.com/plan-journey/t… - Celia
