NEWS: Ferrari has just released the first interior images of the company’s first-ever all-electric supercar, called the Ferrari Luce.
• Designed with Apple's former head of design, Jony Ive
• Four-door four-seater
• 122 kWh battery (gross)
• 330 miles of range (European rating methods)
• 1000 horsepower
• 0-60mph: Under 2.5s
• Four electric motors
• OLED screens
• Guess cluster screen is made up of several layers. By cutting out holes in the upper layers, Ferrari created displays where the speedometer graphic is below the level of a physical needle, which is itself behind additional drive info and beneath a curved inset lens.
• Weight: 5,100 lbs
• Will have fake gear shifts
Jony Ive: "We used touch on the phone to solve a problem [of not enough real estate to hold all the needed buttons for the desired applications]. In a car, that's just the wrong technology."
More details will be released in May.

@DVLAgovuk If you have a car with a private plate from new and then put it on retention to hand back the car at the end of finance. Given this gets a new plate assigned, how do you get a new number plate made up as the V5C can take up to 4/6 weeks to turn up?

@ryanjaycowan @TeslaInTheUK @elonmusk FSD isn't available in all countries or even if it is available its not the same FSD that's available in America so Autopilot is very valuable
English

@TeslaInTheUK @elonmusk We gotta look ahead.. FSD is so important. AP is a distraction.
English

I really don’t like this. Basic AP on all cars is Tesla’s brand, It’s what everyone thinks of. This is just going backwards. Hopefully someone sees sense and changes their mind. @elonmusk

NEWS: Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. The online configurator has now been updated to allow buyers to choose the $99/month FSD subscription, while still offering the option to purchase FSD outright for $8,000 until February 14th. New Tesla vehicles purchases still come with a 30-day free trial of FSD (Supervised).

@agile_phil @OctopusEnergy. The new rules on charging - the email says “by the end of January” will we be notified when it comes into effect / will the 6 hour toggle be available? We’ve hit the rare scenario due to a medical emergency that we have two nearly empty cars to charge
English

@agile_phil @agile_phil Is the 6 hours of charging time or slots?
If slots can you stop staggering the start as this can massively reduce the actual charge time if you provision lots of small slots.
English

To help answer the questions on Intelligent Octopus Go changes coming in January we’ve written a blog and FAQ here octopus.energy/blog/intellige….
Should answer most questions but ping me if you’ve still got questions.
English

@agile_phil @Glyndles @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy If you get slots during the 7p night rate that are over your allotted 6 hours are those just charged at 7p or the peak 25odd p?
Ie the penalty is really only if you need more than 6 hours out of the night rate?
English

Just had the email from @OctopusEnergy about the changes to Intelligent Go.
SO if you plug in your EV and more than 6 hours are needed for charging the additional hours in that schedule will be at peak rate BUT will 11.30pm to 5.30am still always be at the 7p per kWh rate?
So if you get an afternoon slot plus staggered throughout evening into the peak rate and say that totals 10 hours how do you know what part is charged at boost price and what's offpeak price?
The email says the whole house will still get the 6 hours of offpeak but is that regardless of what the EVs doing?
I'm trying to work out how you'll know what's definatly boost price and what's offpeak.
I think if i struggle to work that out from the email others will too 🤣

English

@agile_phil @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy Yup - Just another toggle to help keep costs down. Limiting the charge is fair but just think the extra control would be really useful
English

@agile_phil @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy It happens occasionally i.e. if I have done a long drive and then want to charge it up would typically charge back up to 80% but if its going to cost more would want it to stop at the 6 hours and finish the top up the next night.
English

@Rob_Quads @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy How far over 6 hours do you tend to go today? I like the idea.
English

@agile_phil @sarah_go_green @TheEvEngineer @OctopusEnergy @shocky100 Nope, it happens occasionally but wouldn't want to if its going to cost me boost rate (might even be cheaper at a supercharger!
English

@Rob_Quads @sarah_go_green @TheEvEngineer @OctopusEnergy @shocky100 Do you charge over 60% every day?
English

@sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy @sarah_go_green - Its a bad move without putting more controls in place.
English

@agile_phil @sarah_go_green @TheEvEngineer @OctopusEnergy @shocky100 That's the extreme case but even a 60% fill on a Tesla could put you into premium charging. Anything over 49Kw before conversion losses.
English

@sarah_go_green @TheEvEngineer @OctopusEnergy @shocky100 Actually you just need to be mindful of the charge you’re requesting. If you shoot for 100% from 10% and slowed the charger (ie the workarounds) then you’ll end up over 6 hours.
English

@agile_phil @sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy @agile_phil - Given the hard 6 hour limit please introduce the capability to stop charging after 6 hours or select no slots beyond the 6 hours.
The current proposal makes tracking and planning a nightmare
English

@sarah_go_green @OctopusEnergy Hi Sarah, yep you’ve got it. Just on that last point if you’ve already done 6 hours charging and then more happens during the off-peak period even though the house still has the low rate the car charging will be at the boost rate.
English

@electricfelix @electricfelix - I wonder how the same demo would go on a 400v charger which makes up I suspect most public charging infrastructure. The fact the Y is only running at 140W and not 200+ at the start shows it could go much faster.
English

Waking up I realized BMW is about to show their iX3 that will also charge at pretty much "double Tesla" speed
we're entering a new era where even #legacy auto is .... showing Tesla how it's done?!
wait what! wild.
#alwaysbecharging
English

@DoktorWatson @VodafoneUK @ThreeUK Exactly the same for me. Inbound calls aren't working but texts are
English

@g__j /@OctopusEnergy - is the app meant to trigger a notification when a charging schedule is set? The app indicates it should and my setting allow it but I’ve never had a single notification
English

@RSymonsLTD @RSymonsLTD - Where did you park out of interest? Train prices for family day trips are silly money
English

Amazing where EVs are at;
Family trip to London for under £4 😀
Drove up for the day.
South coast to central London incl Camden, Spitalfields and Battersea, then home again on one charge easily.
As you can see over 7hrs of driving time. But with 26% remaining when got back so not even a whiff of charging required all day!
Home charge last night cost £3.94 to replenish that.
EV’s are great. Seriously why would anyone want to do that in anything else?

@HubertMUrban @tesla_uk Even stranger that Southampton does not have one considering every one of the ones at other showrooms went through it.

@Awakened1114 @dailyecho More likely a diesel to be on fire. Looks like it wasn't anything to do with the propulsion looking at the pictures (although that will frustrate many)

@burtonsnowboard Its pretty poor that when a toe buckle breaks after 2 days use, on a set of £200 bindings you can't even replace it with a similar colour buckle
