New Governor General, same old costs. Cut the $400,000 annual salary and pay raises. End the $130,000 clothing allowance. The GG can pay for her own clothes. End the $200,000 annual expense account for former GGs. End the $150,000 annual pension. Now is a perfect time to cut the perks.

I don’t particularly care how nasty you are or your preferred politics, I believe it is immoral and inappropriate to find where someone is in public and approach them (IF that was the planned intent and it was pre-motivated). However, certainly it’s possible to run into someone you weren’t expecting to see, who has been unnecessarily cruel to you… and for your judgement to lapse, where you decide to go and say “hey, why’d you say that?” It’s uncomfortable, of course. Intimidating, it could be. But I view that as being the same as running into your high school bully one day when you decided you were going to confront them. Intent and motivation are the big unknowns in the majority of these situations… though, it serves as a good reminder to be careful with your tongue—online and in real life—There’s real people on the other end of your decisions… and you may one day run into them. Be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. If there’s a truth to uncover, the data and facts speak for themselves.

Conservatives support providing military aid to Ukraine. However, the Liberal government should also be cutting off the source of funds for Putin’s war machine while helping the Canadian economy grow - that would have a bigger impact than $270 million in funding. Russia is still selling billions of dollars of natural gas to Europe, providing Russia with a valuable source of funds for its budget. According to the Council of the European Union, “For pipeline gas and LNG combined, Russia accounted for around 12% of total EU gas imports in 2025.” The Liberal government should announce a policy of displacing Russian natural gas with Canadian. That policy should include new legislation to reverse the anti-resource development laws on the books, overhauling a byzantine regulatory system and using the powers in Bill C-5 to quickly approve new pipelines and LNG facilities. Four years ago, when the war in Ukraine began, Conservatives called on the Liberal government to take action to approve and build new LNG pipelines so Canada could export to allies in Europe and displace Russian gas. The Liberal government refused to take action. As a result, EU countries like Germany were forced into signing long-term contracts with Qatar to purchase LNG. Now another war has broken out, this time in the Middle East. Qatari LNG shipments to Europe have been cut off, and Russia is taking advantage of the situation by rerouting oil and gas exports to benefit from higher prices, helping fund its war in Ukraine. Ten months have passed since Parliament gave the Liberal government extraordinary new powers in C-5 to expedite the approval and construction of new infrastructure, such as LNG export facilities and pipelines. Despite the passage of four years and Bill C-5, and despite the passage of one year with Prime Minister Carney in power, little has changed. Canada still has no new approved LNG export facilities or pipelines. And our closest allies are forced to purchase oil and gas from authoritarian states like Russia. And the Canadian economy continues to struggle, with GDP shrinking in two of the last three reported quarters. #cdnpoli

@MarkJCarney YOU are not doing ANYTHING by giving away billions of dollars except fleecing taxpayers now & sadling future generations with huge debt so more of their hard earned money will be taken in taxes to pay down that debt. You will be gone from #Canada by then onto your next adventure.

We’ll always protect Canadian workers and businesses against unjust U.S. tariffs. We’re launching a new $1 billion financing program for businesses manufacturing and exporting steel, aluminum, and copper products. We’re also making $500 million available for tariff-impacted businesses across every sector to diversify markets. We’re building a stronger, more independent Canadian economy — and making sure our workers and businesses can bridge to it.

Canada would have a much higher standard of living if they had only 30 million people instead of 42 million people. Literally nothing was gained by allowing 10 million people from the 3rd world to migrate to Canada over the past 30 years. Every economic metric has trended worse for Canada, especially over the past 10 years.

Chief Justice Richard Wagner has refused to recuse himself from an Emergencies Act invocation case, despite previously making public comments about the situation. Canadians remember that TWO courts have already found the government’s use of the Emergencies Act to be unjustified and unconstitutional. When a judge has publicly weighed in against a case, reasonable Canadians will ask if this decision is truly impartial. Conservatives will continue to stand up for accountability and defend Canadians’ civil liberties because no government is above the law.

There’s not really an easy way to explain this, aside from Canadian boomers being captive to a very strange and particular anti-American obsession that Carney is very good at pandering to. But it’s encouraging it doesn’t work on other age groups.

🚨 May Day protests exposed as a TOTAL LEFTIST FRAUD Not about workers at all, these are ANTI-TRUMP, PRO-SOCIALISM, PRO-COMMUNISM rallies popping up nationwide. Teachers canceled school for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of kids so they could march with signs screaming “F**K ICE,” “Trump is a Nazi,” and “Protect transgender kids.” Lara Lea Trump called it exactly what it is: a WASTE OF TIME AND RESOURCES to push radical ideology on our kids early.
