Despite the severity of the charge, Judge Beall set bond at only $100,000, even with an ICE hold in place. A four year old child. One of the most serious charges in Texas law. And a bond amount that treats it like anything less than horrific. This is why public trust in the system is collapsing. Crime victims deserve better.
