@MohanVipul Yes, but how do you expect someone to reverse engineer a product while also having production facilities for a new product.

We spent a year reverse engineering a part for one of the three services. Even built a sample and showed it to them. The ONLY company to do that. Lost out on the bid because apparently, we didn't have the production line to make the part. This, when we had already mentioned that we would invest in the machinery. How can we indigenize when you come up against bureaucracy??

VIDEO | Delhi: Addressing Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) and Indian Military Review (IMR) joint seminar, Air Marshal Yalla Umesh, Maintenance Command of the IAF, says, “The complexity of operational tempo and the environment of military aviation demand high-performance systems with exceptional reliability, maintained in an operational state at all times. The military aerospace manufacturing industry has largely grown around licensed manufacturing of airframe structures based on foreign Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) designs. Engines, aggregates, accessories, and avionics are usually supplied as kits. Even when these are manufactured within India, foreign OEMs maintain tight control over critical parts, technology, processes, and raw materials. In essence, we continue to depend on foreign OEMs. This dependency, along with geopolitics, commercial considerations, obsolescence, and OEMs shifting focus to newer products, compels countries like ours to seek sustainable solutions beyond OEM support.” (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

@asifalizaidi94 @GenericIPguy What is so illegal, why are they loitering on the streets at midnight, they are not providing essential services. Even their families would appreciate these people going to bed early, begin hustle next day. It's good for their Sehat.

What’s happening in Hyderabad is illegal and beyond the purview of law. The state has virtually become a surveillance state. Police have been arbitrarily beating public, restricting their movements and recording and publishing their videos. It violates the very basic idea of dignity. Why such practices are not being carried out in Banjara Hills or Jubillee Hills? Why it is always the marginalised who suffer the state excesses?
Deccan Daily@DailyDeccan

Tappachutra police have relaunched “Mission Chabutra.” Strict action is being taken against late night loitering and unnecessary roaming in streets and lanes. Several youths were detained as part of intensified patrols to maintain law and order. @shotappachbutra

@Jakhar_ankit_ We can select an FMCG manager, an IT services manager, a financial services manager from the same pool and they move from one to another just like that but we can't select a tax manager, a police manager and a foreign relations manager from the same pool?

craziest UPSC fact? - We select a Diplomat, a Police Chief, a Tax Enforcer, and a District Magistrate from the exact same exam pool. Trying to run a 21st-century aspiring superpower using a 19th-century colonial clerical selection method isn't rational at all. Generalist era must end immediately, and how to fix it: 👇 1. Problem: Selecting police chiefs based on essay-writing often creates officers who might freeze in encounters or buckle under local mafia pressure. Fix: Separate IPS recruitment completely into an NDA/CDS-style model. Induct a certain % after 12th for a multi- year tactical academy, funnelling the top performers into R&AW/IB. 2. Problem: Foreign Service is packed with IAS rejects who lack the ruthless temperament for statecraft and coast through embassies without mastering geopolitics. Fix: Institute a standalone IFS exam requiring a mandatory background in International Relations. We need strategic sharks, not accidental diplomats. 3. Problem: We currently rely on literature and history graduates to audit complex corporate tax evasions and track sophisticated global shell companies. Fix: Structurally bifurcate the IRS. Reserve at least >50% of the intake strictly for Chartered Accountants, quantitative economists, and forensic finance experts. 4. Problem: India is squandering its demographic dividend by letting millions of youth waste their prime 20s rote-learning archaic syllabus points in coaching hubs. Fix: Cap maximum attempts strictly to 3/4 and slash the upper age limit to 26/27. The State needs young, dynamic minds, not exhausted 30-year-olds. 5. Problem: Absolute constitutional job security breeds unchecked complacency. Once selected, bureaucrats know they are virtually untouchable regardless of output. Fix: Scale up lateral entry to inject private-sector efficiency, and introduce a fire-at-non-performance policy to weed out non-performing deadweight officers. You cannot test a fish, a lion, and an eagle using a tree-climbing exam. It is time to replace the generalist CSE with specialised, domain-specific recruitment routes.

Why do you think that policy makers don't know which policy is bad for nation? They know what's wrong for nation but their interest is in making policy which gives them benefit, keeps them in power without accountability That is why bad policies are forced on the nation One example: Before becoming PM, Modi shouted on top of his voice that UPA is giving freebies and making public lazy But what did he do after becoming PM? I hope this opens your eyes forever

You are working in the Ministry of Finance as per your profile Can you tell the amount of taxpayers' money by government spend on selection of one civil servant? Now when a selected candidate ditch his seat and re-appears for selection, the cost doubles Who will pay for this loss to nation? Bonus question for you - Is being IAS a greater service to nation than being an IRS? Elaborate For your help, I will share this news article m.economictimes.com/news/economy/p…

Can’t imagine why someone will get so much hate online for just clearing an exam. I’d also like to mention here that I took a one year non-paid leave from IRS training for 12 months when I wrote the UPSC CSE 2025. No one can write UPSC exam while doing IRS training.

Gavai as CJI had raised a shindy about why the CM had not come to receive him in Mumbai as per protocol! Now Murmu has raised the issue. Modi has been so ably rearranging sections and renaming laws in the name of removing colonialism! Now time has come to remove this too. Elected public servants should spend their time serving people, not running to airports to receive fellow VIPs. It cuts costs and also reduces public inconveniences!

He could have easily said that he wants to become an IAS officer for the power, stature, and societal validation. If we wanted to create impact, nothing is better than computer science at this point in human history. Now he will spend the rest of his life being the clerk to his political masters, pushing files, lobbying for flats in Moti bagh, and looking for a spouse from the same service.

I completed my graduation in Computer Science Engineering from IIT Kanpur and passed out in 2024. Three years ago I suddenly developed blurry vision in one of my eyes. Went to the GP. Eye drops. No effect. Went to a specialized eye hospital. No solution there either. A few weeks ago I tried something new: I asked an LLM. It analyzed my diet and suggested I might be omega-3 deficient. It also pointed me to studies showing that this can impair the meibomian glands (which produce the oily layer that smooths the surface of the cornea.) I started taking algae oil supplements. Two weeks later… my vision is perfectly restored! Honestly, I got a bit emotional. Banning AI from being used for medical questions is a terrible idea.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

A New York bill would ban AI from answering questions related to several licensed professions like medicine, law, dentistry, nursing, psychology, social work, engineering, and more. The companies would be liable if the chatbots give “substantive responses” in these areas.

India’s Constitution does not recognize the post of Deputy Prime Minister, The Constitution only mentions the President, Vice President, Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers 'Deputy PM' is simply a political designation given to a senior cabinet minister, It carries no separate constitutional powers

Never appeared for those competitive exams to get rejected in the first place. You don't need to be a chef to tell that the food is bad. Nor do you need to have served with the Govt to tell that most Govt services suck. Armed Forces aint any holy cow, they have their own issues, don't need to have served in Army to point that out.
Prashant Jasrotia@Hashpipe821

Rich coming from some lone wolf. Some SSB rejects will always have this ranker till the end of their days. One must make peace with the fact that they never had what was required. Why be a cry baby throughout and live like a reject. Move on. Ranting out will make you look more of a loser than you are.
