You may have the courage to hate The Odyssey, but do you have the courage to hate the rest of Christopher Nolan’s overhyped and grotesquely pretentious filmography?

I was a kid in the 90s, and by the time I was 12 I had stayed at my friends houses hundreds of nights for sleepovers. My friends stayed with me hundreds of nights for sleepovers. Video games. Making home movies. Snacks. Bewshittin'. My sons are 8 and 12 and neither of them have ever been to a sleepover. Neither of them have ever tried to get one cooking at my house. And don't get me wrong - I do NOT want other kids at my house. But I wouldn't deny my kids the opportunity to make those memories. Are sleepovers just not a thing anymore? What is going on?

I've been talking to my 15 yo son about discerning "bad fruit" in teenage girls. So far we've talked about: - gossiping - foul mouth - overly flirty - self-centered - bad music choices - prideful / boasting - immodest clothing - posing seductively - can't take correction - looking down on others - history of many boyfriends - dissing marriage/having kids What else are we missing?

In my opinion, the logic fallacy around viruses is this: Every time there is a fire, we can see it surrounded by fire fighters. Therefore fire fighters cause fires. Viruses exist and they can signal specific diseases, but they’ve never been shown to cause disease or even be capable of transfer from one person to another. Contagion exists. Just like when you see someone yawn or scratch an itch others start doing that. Or how women synch periods. The primary causes of illness are: contaminated water, exposure, malnutrition, toxic load, stress, social isolation and polluted air. I think a lack of defined moral foundations and a lack of purpose create a spiritual environment for disease as well. The entire field of virology was a desperate attempt to replace demonology and avoid responsibility. All my great grandparents lived into their 90’s because they lived clean. The idea that the past is filthy and undignified is a lie.

What is the one word that if a man says about another man, it means he’s definitely gay? There is a right answer. Trumps post incident interview where he addresses what he was doing behind the curtain is unbelievably funny.

Children of LGBT parents fare worse on 77/80 social outcome measures (Regnerus, 2012). They're 35% less likely to make normal progress through school (Allen, 2012). They suffer emotional problems at twice the rate of children raised by a mother and father (Sullins, 2015). Etc.
Jeremy Kauffman 🦔🌲🌕@jeremykauffman

Gay surrogacy has existed in the United States for 35+ years. We could have rigorous data about outcome differences if anyone actually cared about the truth. As a "liberal" who has adopted many conservative conclusions, what's irksome is the lack of truth-seeking.

I wonder how irreversibly cooked our brains are as the first generation of men to have memorized the geography of non-existent spaces. I'm far from the only one who can tell you exactly where this is located.

@NorthernIion_LP Heard a kid express this fear to his father. And the dad goes “well they would need a microscope to see yours”. Can’t believe he flamed him like that in front of everyone.
