The Senator’s plan: 🔹 Withdraw taxpayer-funded support for Israel and condition arms sales on compliance with international law plus Israel’s acceptance of a time-bound plan to end the occupation 🔹 Recognize a State of Palestine, and treat Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as part of Palestine 🔹 No offensive weapons sold to Israel unless it agrees to a plan for a two-state solution 🔹 Reinstate and expand Biden-era sanctions on settlers and organizations threatening West Bank stability 🔹 Work with Saudi Arabia and regional partners toward normalization based on the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative Van Hollen noted that 40 Democrats recently voted to block certain military transfers to Netanyahu’s government, up from 15 a year ago. He called on the next Democratic president to draw “a red line against Palestinian displacement” and enforce it, warning that the alternatives — “a permanent apartheid state or the expulsion of Palestinians — should be abhorrent and unacceptable to everyone.”

Fox News reported that the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) had issued “administrative subpoenas” as part of a broader sanctions-related investigation into activists involved in humanitarian aid convoys to Cuba. Piker has previously publicly said he learned about the alleged probe through media reports and had not been contacted by the government.
