I'm seeing folks upset at David Lee about the #SportingKC salary release (mostly around the lack of highly paid talent).
Lee knows he didn't get enough signings done. Sure he needs to do better. But I feel like he was left with no infrastructure so I'm not surprised.

So, the Sundown project is canceled outright? Couldn't they just change the name?
And if he'd come out the gate w the explanation in his after-the-fact IG post from the outset, that might've at least helped. I'm not happy the project is sunk, if it is; we should be doing all we can to help Black entrepreneurs establish physical presences in the city. But when you select a name you know to be provocative, I think you've got to either make your case for it immediately or else workshop other names.

If the business was being opened by a buncha white people, I don’t think there’d be a question of if it’s an insensitive name.
