THE ENTIRE AI INDUSTRY JUST GOT HUMILIATED a tiny model trained in just a few hours on a single graphics card is planning 48x faster than billion-dollar supercomputers. It actually understands physics instead of just memorizing patterns. yann lecun was right the whole time for three years every major lab told you the same story. scale is all you need. just throw more GPUs at it. just train on more tokens. eventually the model will "wake up" and understand the world. it was a lie. or at minimum, a very expensive bet that just lost. LeCun kept saying generative AI is a dead end. predicting the next pixel or the next token is fundamentally wasteful, the model burns trillions of parameters memorizing surface details instead of learning how reality actually works. he proposed JEPA instead. predict abstract concepts in a compressed thought space. don't paint the world pixel by pixel, understand it. the problem was JEPA kept collapsing. left to its own devices the model would cheat, mapping a dog, a car, and a human to the same point in latent space. technically minimizes the loss. learns absolutely nothing. every fix was ugly. seven loss terms. frozen encoders. EMA tricks. stop-gradients. the kind of duct-tape engineering that should have been a red flag. then LeCun's team dropped LeWorldModel. they replaced all the hacks with one regularizer that forces the latent space into a gaussian distribution. the model can no longer cheat. to make accurate predictions it has to actually encode physics. 15 million parameters. single GPU. trains in hours. plans 48x faster than foundation world models. detects physically impossible events on its own. meanwhile OpenAI is raising another $40B to train GPT-6 on a data center the size of manhattan. the entire scaling thesis just got embarrassed by a model that fits on a gaming PC.

DOTCOM FRACTAL UPDATE May 2026 — Scenario Analysis S&P 500 now above 7,300. More than 4% above the January ATH. In the dotcom fractal, this was the zone where the first meaningful correction began. It hasn't begun yet. ─────────────── Two scenarios from here. ─────────────── SCENARIO A — FRACTAL CORRECTION INTACT The ~10% correction arrives this week or next. Duration: 2-3 weeks compressed. Low point: approximately 6,600-6,800. Then: final rally of 1-2 weeks into the target zone 7,800-8,100. Final top window: late June to early July 2026. This is the base case if the fractal continues to compress at the same ratio. ─────────────── SCENARIO B — BLOW-OFF ALREADY RUNNING The correction does not arrive. Or it arrives so shallow — 3-5% over days, not weeks — that it doesn't register as a real correction. In this scenario we are not approaching the euphoria phase. We are already in it. The Nasdaq is the tell. When the leading index stops correcting meaningfully — when every dip is bought within hours — that is the signature of a blow-off top in progress. In this scenario: no meaningful correction before the top. Direct move toward 7,800-8,100 on the S&P. Nasdaq overshooting further. Final top window: late May to early June 2026. ─────────────── WHAT BOTH SCENARIOS SHARE The targets remain the same. 7,800-8,100 on the S&P. 3,000-3,200 on the Russell. The difference is timing and the depth of the correction that precedes the final high. In Scenario A: the correction provides an entry that most will use — and then miss the top anyway. In Scenario B: there is no entry. The crowd that waited never gets the pullback. The top arrives while they are still waiting. ─────────────── ONE ADDITIONAL OBSERVATION The longer the market holds above 7,300 without correcting — the more energy is accumulating. If Scenario B is playing out — the final move will be faster and more violent than most models suggest. And the subsequent reversal will be equally violent. That is how blow-off tops work. ─────────────── THE CRYPTO LAYER The dominant narrative in crypto: Bitcoin will correct hard when equities pull back. The correlation is structural. It always has been. That narrative is correct — under one condition: equities actually pull back. ─────────────── Now apply Scenario B to crypto. If the S&P does not correct meaningfully — if the blow-off is already running — then Bitcoin loses its most cited reason for going lower. No equity correction. No correlation-driven selloff. No $40,000-$50,000 entry. Instead: Bitcoin participates in the final phase of the same risk-on move that is lifting everything else. ─────────────── Look at what is happening in equities right now. The rally is no longer just AI and software. Market breadth is expanding. Small caps outperforming. Industrials. Financials. Materials. The move is broadening. That broadening — from narrow tech leadership to broad market participation — is the classic signature of a late-cycle blow-off. Every sector joins the party. Every asset class participates. In 1999-2000: the final phase pulled in everything that had lagged. Telecom. Media. Utilities. Assets that had nothing to do with the internet. Crypto is the laggard of 2026. ─────────────── When broad market participation reaches this level — when small caps are running, when breadth is expanding, when every sector is joining — the last asset standing without its move tends to move fast. Not gradually. Not with warning. The 15-20 million followers waiting for $40,000-$50,000 will not have time to recalibrate. We got higher. Bitcoin firmly pushed over $80k for the first time this year. But has retraced back down to our key breakout level of $78,400. $78,400 is a very important level, being our 1W candle body HTF bullish structure low, which we have now reclaimed two weeks in a row. However, for trend continuation here there are certain things we want to see happen now. As the price pushed to $80k lots of new longs opened, got trapped, then liquidated. We can see the sharp drop on Open interest. Apes never learn, lol. Two things happen from here: 1- That drop was a liquidation hunt to wipe late longs before continuation 2- The initial push to $80k was the liquidation hunt, taking out shorts, before going for lower targets What we want to see for continuation here is: 1- Holding above our key level 2- Coinbase premium flipping positive(it almost has already) 3- Spot volume has been very consistent on this push higher, so we want to see that continue to lead 4 - A grind up in OI but not a massively fast one My view, as you guys likely know already, is that we are good for higher now. Those two weekly closes above HTF structure are key, along with many other signals i cover. I personally think $73k - $75k is the lowest we drop from here. Bitcoin has had a lot of chances to show its weakness already, and it just hasn't. Keep above this level of $78,400 and we're gonna start taking down the 1D 200EMA and then the 1W 50EMA at $85,000. Lose $78,400 and $75,000 is the next area to look at.
