Non-European countries will always support others in extracting resources and gaining advantage from us. The danger is that as demographics shift, many foreign origin peoples here will support it too. Let's reset the population status quo ante. T: The resolution, tabled at the UN General Assembly by Ghana on behalf of the African Union of countries, also condemned the forced migration as “the gravest crime against humanity”. The text added that countries such as the UK should now begin “good-faith dialogue on reparatory justice, including a full and formal apology, measures of restitution, [and] compensation”. It also insisted that “wrongful acts entail a duty of reparation”. The non-binding resolution passed by 124 to three, with the UK among 52 abstentions. It successfully garnered support from China, Iran, and Russia. Many Commonwealth countries, including India, also voted in favour of the resolution. By backing the resolution, the UN members affirmed “the importance of addressing historical wrongs affecting Africans and people of African descent”, and accepted that “claims for reparations represent a concrete step towards remedying historical wrongs”. The resolution also called for states to launch “programmes and services to address racism and systemic discrimination.”

@TradBritGroup I’m not so sure. Voting against would still confer legitimacy on an absurd process. Britain should merely state that the undignified antics of certain people in demanding money for nothing will bring only embarrassment to their nations.

Also, why would the UK and many other Western nations abstain? We are really governed by an enemy class.

Nothing says 'rule of law' quite like replacing the highest court judges with your own loyalists. We saw the same thing in Poland, the EU complains and sanctions over government domination of the judiciary, but has no problem once one of their favorite is elected and does the same thing

Hungarian opposition leader Péter Magyar, calling Orbán and his circle a mafia, stated that if he gains a constitutional majority, the heads of the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court, the State Audit Office, the competition authority, and the prosecutor general will be removed. According to him, they failed to fulfill their constitutional duties and instead placed political loyalty to Orbán above the law. Over years of prolonged dominance in Hungarian politics, Orbán has rewritten the constitution, redrawn electoral districts, and appointed loyalists to key positions, creating a model of “illiberal democracy” that he presents to nationalist allies in Europe and beyond as a system resistant to electoral defeat. Magyar promised to return Hungary to the European political mainstream and to loosen ties with Russia. “Viktor Orbán does not represent the interests of Hungary, the European Union, or NATO, but rather the interests of a third country,” Magyar said, clearly referring to Russia.
