The Iranian Regime does really stupid things just like every totalitarian regime in history and like the rest its stupidity will be its downfall. At every stage, they have prevented Trump from taking an off-ramp. If it keeps escalating because of their stupidity, we might actually get regime change, which would be fantastic.

@elongilad At our Shabbat table the bread is perfectly round. Idea for you: The etymology of the Hebrew months. It's interesting that Hebrew months share with Arabic and even Turkish names for Gregorian months ex: Tammuz = August. In the Chumash months are by ordinal number.

@IdoHalbany Not exactly, any outcome of the war besides the fall of the current regime means there will be another round and this time the regime will act like a wounded lion. The war will continue even at a lower grade until the regime is replaced.

In my view, any outcome of this war short of the fall of the Islamic regime is a failure. There has never been a better opportunity to deal with this issue, and it's doubtful there will ever be another.

@RabbiPoupko Then how do you read the Ramatcal's '10 red flag' for lack of manpower. That's political posturing against the Charedim. I also think way more Charedim should serve, but both sides of the debate are guilty of lack of compromise and not seeing the other's perspective.

There are many other groups who can afford infighting, gatekeeping, and internal divisions. The Jewish people cannot afford that. In our fight against antisemitism we must be able to put aside political, sociological, religious, and other internal divisions. If you are with us in this fight for our survival, you are welcome in. That doesn't mean we will abandon our differences or agree on everything, it means we will respect our differences and fight together.
