Iranian intelligence killed a dissident in Canada. Authorities have charged two suspects with first-degree murder in the killing of Masood Masjoody, an Iranian-Canadian mathematician and former Simon Fraser University instructor who criticized the Islamic Republic. The intelligence officers posed as dissidents to get close to their target. Police say Mehdi Ahmadzadeh Razavi (48) and Arezou Soltani (45)—both known to the victim and pictured below—are accused in the case. Masjoody was reported missing Feb. 2; his remains were found March 6 in Mission, B.C. His activism exposing IRGC-linked individuals in Canada likley played a role.
