The hardest part of bootstrapping around a full-time job isn’t the work. It’s the context switching. Today went from: 3 sketch options Design & Access Statement Freelance invoices Debugging tweaks Walk to reset my brain Architecture 🧠 → business 🧠 → dev 🧠 → sleep 💤

Without AI, I genuinely don’t think I could juggle: - Full-time job as an architect - Ad-hoc Developer freelancing - Building SaaS and online products - Maintaining a 1700s house AI doesn’t remove the work. It removes enough friction to make the work possible.

@Chris_Wozniczek That makes sense. It feels like the real trap is turning X into another job instead of a place to document the work.

I will be honest, not sure if I manage it 😉😁 I usually spend some time on x in the evening/night, in the morning I check it out, see the notifications, like and reply to some people, but most of the time I do actually reply is during evenings. I try to check on a daily basis, but I stopped focusing on reply rate, all the metrics. I scroll to see if there is something interesting or funny or I reply to people who commented on anything I posted. I don't expect I will hit 100 replies ever again, it's time consuming and its just fighting for impressions - dont want to do that - unless I will have 100 people on my post and I would want to reply to each an everyone of them, then yes. I tried skipping x for some time, like few days when I was away but the comeback is hard, you post something, you get 20 views... decided to spend a few minutes per day, if I find something work replying fine, if not, fine. Also since few days I focused on finalizing the stuff I'm building so less posts and less replies in general, but not really caring that much

not being super active on X, just reading and building for now. In the meantime I reached 800 followers and 500 verified followers 💪😎 Thanks you guys ! hope you guys also have the power to build 💪

@hustle_fred @David_mduw The problem for many is they have too many obligations. I wish i realised this 10 years ago, that way i wouldn't be moonlighting indie hacking

@David_mduw depends where you live. I think if you make minimum amount to cover rent, food and health expenses it is good enough to go all in. Unless of course you have family and other obligations.

Founders: How much MMR for you to go all in? I'm talking quit the day job, all in.

Funding a dream a day! What’s your dream?

@simonsquibb To make home improvement less intimidating and less expensive. Architecture and construction knowledge shouldn’t only be accessible once you can afford a full professional team.

@yongfook 6 months full-time and 6 months after 5pm are not the same race

Getting to $10k MRR in 6 months is hard but doable. Worth it though. Those 12 months will be the highest value 2 years of your life.

@buildwtim @omarvvvr I'm with you on this one. I use ChatGPT work and development seems more intuitive to use one heavily. What's the perks of claude?

@omarvvvr leaning toward codex, feels more versatile for coding and automation stuff i mess with daily, but both got perks :)

Being a reply guy is frustrating. Yet i did it consistently for 2 months. Results? - 28.7k followers - 8.4M impressions - $3,435 from X - $226 from SaaS What more proof do you need that it works?

@dark_coderz Stocks, so that I can let that snowball whilst i work on existing projects. Real Estate is such as time suck! I bootstrap my apps to keep everything lean.

@venelinkochev At what point do Stripe fees actually become too painful? Feels like one of those things that get delayed until it’s already far too expensive.

Directify P&L for May 2026 vs April: - MRR moved a bit up, but pretty much the same - Revenue up +$300 - Profit margin unchanged May was one of the most challenging months. Lots of failed payments, but managed to keep MRR up and increase revenue. Also increased prices in May, which bumped up Stripe fees. I'm thinking of migrating to Creem

@DanielSmidstrup Looks, very polished. What Tech stack are you using? Any Frameworks so you can focus on the product more?
