This is the problem with have with Boomers. It’s the denial.
They all grew up and took advantage of a post war economic boom. Some weren’t successful but the majority enjoyed a higher quality of life than exists for younger generations today.
And in the end all they have to show for it now is an accumulation of Air Miles and mythological tales from their past.

Boomers didn’t buy RVs that they couldn’t afford, we tented it. Boomers didn’t buy new cars, we bought used ones. Boomers didn’t spend six bucks for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Boomers could hang all their clothes in a four foot closet. Boomers didn’t cry how tough their lives were, we fought through the tough times. Boomers have everything they have because they managed their money, didn’t squander it on frivolous things, and invested it in proven technologies and long term successful businesses. Boomers have zero fucks to give for whiners, fools, and couch potatoes.

So here's a thing that just happened: just went to @Costco, scanned my membership card, and the lady at the scanner said that since I don't have the expensive membership, I can't go in until 10 o'clock. WTAF?!? Quite tempted to cancel my membership. I entirely understand having certain benefits for levels of membership but keeping would be customers out even if it does provide a slightly less crowded experience for the fancy people seems like a questionable decision to me.

Federal minimum wage from 1997 to 2007 was $5.15 an hour. Now go ahead tell me Lady Con Artist how a burger that cost $1.00 in 2006 now costs $7.00 is the fault of minimum wage being raised to $7.25 an hour in 2009 or a new car that cost $10,000.00 in 2006 is now $35,000.00.

@user177635076 When rent here is on average 1,300 dollars a month budgeting guidelines say you should only spend 30 percent of your income in rent MAX. That means I’d need at MINIMUM to make 4,000 dollars a month. A CNA only brings home 2,480 a month. It’s a cycle of poverty.

“Get a better job” is not the answer to people being unable to pay their bills. Every job should have to pay a living wage. If you don’t believe that, then you believe as a society people who do necessary jobs should permanently live in an under class.

@Replicant7777 @WallStreetApes Never had these problems. I’ve actually had cheaper rates by waiting to the last minute. I’ve seen at times a first class seat was cheaper than regular coach. Departure time wildly affects cost.

@WallStreetApes I don't believe it.. I've exclusively used United for many years and they are the most stable pricing platform, and easiest to make and cancel reservations, there is literally never an issue. If a price changed it was due to lack of seats or increased demand yes, they do change.

United Airlines is using dynamic pricing
This plane ticket says it’s $752. Once you out in the travelers information it says
“Based on traveler information provided, the price of your ticket has changed”
The price went from $752.20 -> $1,156.20
United see the trackers age was older so automatically drastically increased the ticket price
Airlines started holding ‘separate fare buckets’ for different passenger categories. So now for the same seat, you can be sorted into age categories and have your price go up based on what United Airlines says their inventory is for each seat category
This is dynamic pricing adjustments
It’s only going to get worse if we let this continue
