The disastrous decline in health and hygiene standards at Tim Hortons and many other Canadian fast food chains is directly attributable to the Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW) program.
Inside 18 months, Hepatitis A — a fecal-oral disease, by Public Health Canada's own definition — has been confirmed in Tim Hortons food handlers in Ottawa, Amherst NS, and Barrie. A Montreal location was fined $4,200 for premises containing rodent excrement.
India is now Canada's largest source of foreign workers. India's own government has spent 11 years and billions on its Swachh Bharat (Clean India) campaign trying to end open defecation. The current phase is literally branded "Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata" — behavioural and cultural cleanliness — because their own surveys find roughly half of rural households continue to defecate in the open even when they own a toilet. They say they prefer it.
The Indian government calls it a cultural problem.
Their words, not mine.
You cannot import food-service workers from this environment, hand them a hairnet and a 90-minute orientation, and call it a food safety system. There is no training program that closes a 25-year cultural gap in 12 weeks.

@Ron_Rives @J0NB13 and it should be but if you are told that "comfort care" is peaceful and no one follows the palliative orders and he wakes up during a breakthrough and says "I need to get out of here" something is broken
English

@udblu34 oh Bill, it has been a 13yr journey
we knew he was dying we just didn't know that they would lie to us about the "comfort care" was not be what we were promised by his palliative care team
He was not suppose to wake up and say "I need to get out of here"
English

@RimmerDax My condolences. But it seems he was barely cold and you're posting on X. Seems odd to me, but whatever. Good luck.
English

@shanendoah760 Thank you and yes they were.
English

@RimmerDax ❤️🙏❤️
I hope those were your exact words!!
Love you honey, God be with you
English

@nel_corr Make sure you sign up for that because he already did his part 13yrs ago by donating his left kidney with a 5 pound twin cancer tumours attached for research
English

@NAllison89 on the weekend we would prepare most of the weeks dinners and lunches and then we froze them
English

My parents both worked when I was growing up in the 90s/early 00s. At one point they each had a full time job and he had a part time one weekends. We managed takeout Fridays. Most of the time food was cooked by them. We were lower middle class. Stop treating adults like children.
Taylor Lorenz@TaylorLorenz
This is bc they do not have the time or capacity to create home cooked meals. It’s an issue countless ppl have tried to raise w leftists but big leftists online continue to shame/abuse poor ppl for being forced to rely on these services for meals, which act as a tax on the poor
English

@RimmerDax You could have potentially saved a life. Or. Your husbands death could have had a chance of sight for someone who is blind. You made the wrong decision when you said no.
English

@itsfoxyjohn @TrusteeZicaro you are in no position to judge me or anyone else.
English

@RimmerDax @TrusteeZicaro Not of the eyes. No. The eyes and skin grafting can help those in need. It’s not just main organs. You made the wrong decision.
English

@AvonandsomerRob not sure if you understand the horrific side effects of targeted therapy, up to and including two different skin cancers. You have to have a strong desire to live with that much reduced quality of care.
English

My condolences. But if he survived kidney cancer, one of the most serious of all cancers, the fact he survived 13 years showed the treatment worked, and gave him a decade of life he would not otherwise have had.
I agree with you that the call about organ donation lacked tact. I have myself opted out and will also do that when I move for work to another healthcare system.
English

@J0NB13 let me guess, I'd say you must be at your 6th booster by now.
English

@Spiritkiss888 he already did his part 13yrs ago by donating his left kidney with a 5 pound twin cancer tumours attached for research
English

@RimmerDax They also donate for science. Never donate any part of your body. They make money off our loved ones
English

@misterex65 then why do we have to opt out on a government website?
Also we have to state our consent on our tax return each year.

English

@twiggysays The caller demonstrated zero knowledge of my husband's medical file, blindly soliciting organs from an active, metastatic oncology patient whose organs were medically unviable due to cancer spread.
English

@RimmerDax Sorry for your loss. You should have donated them.
English

@LizzyKing47 I though signing the opt out on the governments website would have been enough
English

@RimmerDax Maybe we should announce immediately at the hospital that we do not plan on donating organs.
English

@TrusteeZicaro And free from active systemic cancer to prevent transferring cancer cells to a recipient.
English

@RimmerDax Sorry, but don't organ donors have to be alive to donate organs? 😥
English

@MelanieSok47232 He had advanced, metastatic renal cancer. Active systemic cancer is a strict medical disqualifier for organ transplantation to prevent transferring cancer cells to a recipient. The staff didn't even read his chart before calling me or check that he was opted out
English

@RimmerDax Sorry sorry and good call on thr organs. I hope you are surrounded by loved ones to comfort you through this painful time.
English

@Efrwqt you said the right things
Thank you
English

@RimmerDax I understand your feelings. I don't know what to say except that life's short. "we are all disposable to them" Qe2
