the framework 13 pro is the macbook pro of linux >haptic touchpad >great touchscreen >insane battery life >full aluminum chassis >comfortable keyboard framework sent me a pre-production unit and i'm genuinely blown away by this machine i've been daily driving a framework machine for over a year and the 13 pro feels 10x more premium to me the biggest win is battery life: i can confidently say this machine easily lasts me the entire day (and this is with capping my charging to 80% for battery health). i'm someone who always carries a battery bank on me but with this machine battery truly isn't a concern i can do my work for hours on end and still have hours of battery life to spare. i can go work at a coffee shop and not have to worry about being near an outlet. while it sounds small this gives me immense peace of mind which is what i try to optimize for in my life and like any framework i can still repair/upgrade any part of this machine if you're looking for a new machine i highly recommend checking out the new framework 13 pro

@pulpmx If they have two or more races in the same country, name it by the town, region, or track. It works great in MotoGP and everyone understands exactly what race is being discussed. Everyone knows the difference between Catalonia, Aragon, and Valencia.

I don’t like MXGP just making up random names for these GP’s. Just call it the country the race is in and if there’s two in Italy or whatever, call it Italy 2!

They will walk back exploitative Windows changes only when forced to do so by public backlash. The latest round is far from the first time - remember when they wanted to require all modern apps to use the Microsoft Store? Everyone should be moving to alternatives as quickly as they can. We need to collectively put our development resources behind operating systems we can trust going forward. Microsoft has been given the benefit of the doubt now for nearly two decades of irresponsible behavior. Enough is enough.

@mmjukic I was told once by a friend of mine in a German PhD that in Germany, they actually let you do your work. In the US people constantly interfere. Convincing people what you’re doing is right is harder than doing the work itself sometimes.

Only in Germany will you find a company run by a conclave of PhD physicists in a tradition dating directly back to Goethe and Riemann, whose sole purpose is to manufacture the most atomically-perfect mirrors and lenses ever, and of course this company is crucial for making GPUs.

No I think he legit wants to race. And collarbone surgery is a pretty quick recovery. I know MX is a little more demanding, but Connor Zilisch broke his collarbone, had surgery, rehabbed and was back in the race car in 2 weeks in NASCAR. He’s young and dumb. I can see him giving it a go at MXON.

@Vantadaga @EmlynSpace @SebAaltonen Apple makes both the hardware and the software, thats another reason the change to ARM was so successful. On Windows a lot of software still isn‘t ARM compatible afaik and their emulation isn‘t as efficient

@EmlynSpace @SebAaltonen I hope Arm gets widespread desktop use. AMD, Intel and NVIDIA (they are already working on one with the N1 and N1X) need to work on their own solution. I also believe RISC-V has great potential

During these 6 years Apple managed to develop the best CPU architecture in the world. Outpacing both AMD and Intel. Also their GPU is nowadays state of the art, beating Nvidia in some areas (Nvidia is a $3T GPU company). I'd say Apple spend their $100B wisely in R&D.

I’m not, like, mtb guy “expert” but after buying some SRAM AXS stuff + experiencing TRP also, they’re both WAY more durable than Shimano, the AXS stuff works phenomenal also.

@pulpmx Just wondering, is the Ducati its very own bike or is it a modified KTM. Have not seen it yet.

ICYWW- Ducati is going to race Redbud with Cairoli & no, they won't have 400 bikes in the country by then but from understanding, they have 3 months to homologate them. Much like KTM racing new bikes in Jan & having until March 1st to get them into dealers.

I don’t know what Apple or MXGP have done but streaming from my phone to my TV just doesn’t happen like it used to, I have to mess around for it to eventually work. Before it was just play on safari, then click the airplay icon. Now it doesn’t connect if I do that.
