A Voice of Reason. #RutoMustGo

Earlier today on #SheriaDive with @JamesKWaNjeri, Advocate @IMBOSA_A shared powerful insights on abductions, enforced disappearances & extrajudicial killings through a lawyer’s eyes. In case you missed it, catch the full conversation on YouTube 🎥⚖️ #JusticeMatters #HumanRights #WatchNow

Charles Owino, Head, National Communication Centre: I have personally known Were for quite some time before he became an MP. I was also involved when he had a case of a lady who apparently disappeared. He married my cousin, the first wife, who passed on. He also married the daughter of my former boss, a police officer, a very nice young girl. I think there would have been a better way to manage him instead of killing him #CitizenSundayLive @KoinangeJeff @OBurrows

Digital wankers assemble 🙏🙏 someone has drafted an email to send to @ilo please copy/paste and send to ilo@ilo.org “Subject: Concern Regarding ILO's Association with Francis Atwoli. The International Labour Organization has long been a beacon of workers' rights, setting global standards for fairness, dignity, and ethical leadership in labor movements. It is precisely because of the ILO's esteemed reputation that I bring to your attention a matter that threatens to undermine its integrity: the continued association with Francis Atwoli. Atwoli's tenure as COTU Secretary-General has been defined by gross financial misconduct, including the diversion of workers' dues for personal gain, systemic bribery to manipulate legal processes, and the ruthless suppression of dissent. His 24-year grip on power has turned COTU into an autocratic entity, hostile to transparency and accountability. These are not mere claims-they are well-documented facts, widely known and condemned by Kenyan workers. By maintaining Atwoli in a leadership role, the ILO risks being seen as complicit in his abuses, eroding trust among the very laborers it seeks to protect. The ILO cannot afford to be tarnished by association with such a figure. His presence contradicts the principles of fairness, democracy, and ethical governance that the organization upholds. To safeguard its credibility, the ILO must dissociate from Atwoli decisively and without delay. I trust that the ILO, as a guardian of workers' rights, will take swift and appropriate action. I look forward to your response on this urgent matter. Sincerely, Kenyan Worker.”

Received very shocking news from Nairobi: that the Hon. Charles Ong'ondo Were, who was the MP for Kasipul Kabondo, has reportedly been gunned down on Ngong Road. It’s alleged that a lone motorbike assailant drove up and took his life, he was a former member of the National Security Council, among other notable appointments. This is a dark day. My heart goes out to his family and constituents. THIS IS A BARBARIC ACT! ATTACKING OUR LEADERS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR DEMOCRACY! POLICE—ACT FAST! BRING OUR LEADERS' KILLERS TO BOOK! Rest in peace, Hon. Were. Your legacy lives on. #JusticeForWere #OdongoWere
