Whichever clinician came up with this idea around Advice & guidance in @NHSEngland needs to step forward and own their decision
And explain their thinking process
Cos I ain't just rejecting GP referrals to hit a percentage.
I will accept referrals as dictated by clinical need

“Let’s be honest: if we know the data and we haven’t done all possible to bring equity to fellow human beings…
And we judge them on the basis of skin colour, then what term should we use for ourselves but racists?”

At least 83 children killed and 254 wounded in Lebanon alone in the last week. It is such unimaginable evil.

Proud to be an executive producer on 'American Doctor', the documentary about three US doctors who volunteered in Gaza, which premiered at Sundance tonight. Ever since I first came across Mark Perlmutter and Feroze Sidhwa, and later Thaer Ahmad, I knew their stories needed to be told and I'm delighted Zeteo could help bring their stories to the screen.

Austerity worsened housing, health, education, transport, and civic amenities, while indulging corporate exploitation and profiteering..our most deprived communities have been harmed disproportionately by austerity and its consequences.

@colinivan @abierkhatib @irishexaminer Brilliantly written, brilliantly argued. Decolonial critique.

there is something incredibly naive about our insistence that because our ancestors suffered, we cannot reproduce harm in the arena of race and post-colonial trauma. Its time we retired the notion that suffering automatically confers sainthood & read some books. @irishexaminer

This year’s BMJ appeal is for @MSF, supporting their work in Gaza and more than 75 other countries.
The BMJ hears how ongoing attacks, trickling aid, and flooding mean that Gaza and its doctors are in for a tough winter

As a journo why wdnt I be focussed on an area which has seen about 70,000 killed, mostly women and children, hostages taken, 80% of homes destroyed, where a ceasefire’s being violated daily, record no of journos and doctors killed and is taxing the world’s leaders?

"The words 'never again' are a big part of growing up Jewish. When I saw the slaughter in Gaza, I came to understand that...they just meant 'never again for us'."
Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's, says his Jewish upbringing gave him "so much sympathy for people that are oppressed".
