A5: I try to break the content down into small, manageable chunks and use positive reinforcement when they tackle a tough concept. I also encourage students to talk it out with me. Sometimes hearing yourself out loud helps. #engageMID

A4: My kids still love competition, so starting class with a drill where I give them a topic and each group writes as many things as they remember or know about that topic and the group with the most and best responses win candy. #engageMID

A3: I find that as the day goes on, I'm more lax with giving the kids time to decompress and talk with one another. It takes longer to get things done, but they need time to socialize. It's hard though because I want to keep on track with all of my other classes. #engageMID

A3: Towards the ends of the day my students are SUPER squirrely and ready to be done BUT they love talking and asking questions (even if they are very off-topic) so I try to do more story-telling and discussion type activities. #engageMID
