To have the future earning potential of MSTR today, you need free capital of $60bn and the ability to buy the same 560,000+ Bitcoin for that $60bn - which is unlikely. How much of a premium to underlying assets is that competitive earnings advantage worth?

@JimJnb22 @GuyTalksFinance No I’m not. It trades live only during market hours. $FBTC is up 1.9% since it’s last closing price, Bitcoin trading never closes thus the discrepancy.

In honor of Donald Trump's first day as President, I invested $10,000 in the stock market: ➡️ $3,333 into $VTI ➡️ $3,333 into $GLD ➡️ $3,333 into $GBTC I’m looking forward to seeing which ETF position performs the best in the upcoming years.

@JimJnb22 @GuyTalksFinance $FBTC and other Bitcoin ETFs only trade during market hours while Bitcoin trades 24/7. The change in price of $FBTC is based on where it traded in the previous day’s market hours (or after hours trading) compared to where it trades during today’s market hours.

I’m probably going to have to start adding Bitcoin $BTC to my portfolio as a hedge in case I’m wrong about its long-term prospects. What’s the best Bitcoin ETF? Not a fan of Coinbase, so I won’t be using that platform. Wildly high transactions fees.

Can't believe this is a serious question You enjoy your life while your Bitcoin maintains or increases your purchasing power Why would you want to work more to maintain your purchasing power? @GuyTalksFinance may be the biggest NPC I've seen on this platform

@rajatsoni @lindsaystamp3 Real Estate can provide shelter or a place to do business while waiting for the price to increase. What can you do with Bitcoin while waiting for the price to go up?

@GuyTalksFinance @rajatsoni Personally, I don’t see Bitcoin’s primary future purpose as being a “currency” or medium of exchange, but a potential reserve asset and store of value. An asset that can’t be manipulated is a net good for society, especially for those living in places experiencing hyperinflation

How can Bitcoin compete with the dollar when Bitcoin cannot be used to purchase any goods? Bitcoin might be a better store of value than the dollar, but it can’t be a better form of money by definition. In order to be money it would need to function as a currency which Bitcoin is not.

If all of your portfolio is in S&P 500 or NASDAQ 100 funds you might not be as diversified as you think. The top 10 holdings make up 34% of the S&P 500 and 50% of the NASDAQ 100. Here are a few of my favorite ETFs to help diversify a portfolio: Small Caps) $AVUV $DFSV $VIOV $AVDV (International) $AVEE (Emerging Markets) International) $VXUS $AVDE $DFAX $AVNV $AVES Global) $VT $DFAW $AVGE $AVGV

It took us 7 years to get $100,000 invested in the stock market and today, just 2.5 years later, we’ve crossed $200,000. I’m grateful.

It’s unnecessary to hold a dividend fund like $SCHD and a growth fund like $SCHG in addition to funds like $VOO. $SCHD is essentially a large cap value fund, $SCHG is a large cap growth fund, and $VOO is a large cap blend fund. Combining all three together is a roundabout way of recreating $VOO. For example, a portfolio of 50% $VOO, 25% $SCHD, and 25% $SCHG has a 0.99 correlation with $VOO with nearly identical returns.

@RuffinFinance @SCHDETF SPY is very top heavy. There is short term risk with this concentration. Some people like to be defensive, someday we will get a reminder of why that's valuable.

There are much worse ways to invest, but if you can accomplish the same thing with less funds then using less funds is a no brainer imo. I think people greatly overlook the value of simplicity in a portfolio. Less funds helps investors resist the urge to tinker with their portfolio and chase recent performance. I also don’t think it’s necessary to overweight growth stocks when you’re younger considering value outperforms growth historically. x.com/ruffinfinance/…

@RuffinFinance I feel attacked 😉😂 It’s a fair take 😎🍻 At the same time, is a $SCHG $SCHD $VOO combo really a bad way to invest? Is using 3 ETFs instead of 1 that much more complex? It also provides flexibility to rebalance focusing more on growth when younger & more on value when older.

“What it basically shows visually is that SCV going back to 1930 tended to have really long periods where it underperforms the S&P 500, and then relatively short bursts of outperformance…You’ve got to stay in your seat if you want to capture that.” SCV GANG 🗣️
