Did you know your companies 401k match and vesting schedule prior to taking your job? I feel like many people don’t ask how their 401k, bonuses or PTO will work until after they agree to accept a position

Portfolio update: $117k Down from $125k at its peak in February. This is how a properly diversified portfolio behaves during a market downturn. Seeing way too many people freaking out about their portfolio getting cut in half from a 10% drop in the S&P.

Not comparing. Just mirroring PTJ when he said bitcoin was the fastest horse in 2020 at $8k per coin and said he’s rather own it than stacks. Just a cool 10x since then. It’s worked well. Wish you stock bro / divvy lovers would finally get it after all these years, esp you all in your 20s. 30-50% ARR for the next 10 years will smash any “diversified” portfolio

@SparkingFIRENC Sounds very very similar to my situation. Just riding it out and building my 9-5 escape with every extra dollar

I’m about to hit 3 years in my current role at work I don’t make that much money and would be able to get a promotion if I went for one But for once, I’m content Not everyday is perfect, but my job has a lot of flexibility, I like the people I work with and I can meet my financial goals with what I make That’s why I plan on riding this out during my journey to FI unless something better comes along The only thing I’m missing is the passion, which is why I’ve come to learn I may need to find passion/fulfillment outside of my career Pursuing FI doesn’t always mean you have to HUSTLE, HUSTLE, HUSTLE
