So let’s get a sense of the vibes now that Trump has said this… If you aren’t long, would you go long? If you are long, would you derisk? If you are short, would you double down? The war isn’t over, but this shows Trump might not want to escalate as much as people think…

TRUMP: - POSTPONING ENERGY STRIKES ON IRANIAN POWER PLANTS - WE HAVE HAD VERY STRONG AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS OVER THE PAST TWO DAYS We’ve been through this story so many times. Every time. Every single time. Not sure if this is the official TACO but markets like it.

i still don't get why we need to push code up to get an LLM review via awkward github ui hacks opencode has /review which can also do things like run your code to check things but a full time team focused on this would do it better, i just don't like the workflow they offer

I was mapping second-order effects of the $2B company that does AI for Cows. I just realized something brutal: Shepard Dogs Are Going to Be Unemployed. AI displacement is coming after everything. $ORCL, $AMZN, $META, and others are laying off workers from AI automation. And now your local dogs will be unemployed too. Is my pet fish going to be out of a job too?

Gold is crashing. Silver is crashing. Stocks are crashing. Crude Oil is rising. So where is the money flowing? I have the answer to that: -> Cows. The cattle index has outperformed the broader market. Silicon Valley and Peter Thiel have poured billions into cow-related startups. Markets are rotating to Cows as the biggest hedge against uncertainty. Because while you don't know how Trump will react to new situations? You know how cows do: They say Moo and Eat Grass. Markets might be telling us, that Cows are the greatest hedge against uncertainty.

I get what they’re saying though. People overselling AI, the uncertainty, all sorts of things besides the tooling. But totally agree, codex works great or use Claude code if you want. It’s all the same shit. I prefer codex right now as well. I’m not sure we’ve this much fakery in the industry. But I think engineering moral is taking and going to take a serious hit and that isn’t healthy for any company

I cannot explain how good agent fleets are going to be. This seems like an industry changing product. nothing Ive used has even come close. It feels like both large CRMs really tried to do this initially but it failed. Langchain nailed it. Ive only played with it for a few hours but I cant stop. Feels like if you want a personal hobby agent you go with openClaw, if you want an agent to help you at work its claude, but if you want a fleet of agents for your entire workforce? well there is only one place ive seen that vision accomplished and its now langchain. congrats guys. @LangChain @hwchase17

Not sure I posted this but I released an early version of Squadron AI. Originally in 2024 this was going to be a cloud coding agent with a fine tuned model, funny how that is still being done today. Anyhow, this is a different take. It’s an agent orchestrator built to generate companies, roles, goals and tasks, then assign them out and use a human in the loop pattern to push the progress forward. It uses codex, copilot or whatever cli you want to use and builds a framework on top. Fun to mess with. github.com/RussellCanfiel…

@nickbaumann_ Cursor has done this already as well, seems fairly easy to do? GitHub webhook triggers, via a GitHub app.

We are dangerously close to putting Codex in autonomous loops where it picks up tickets, tests it's own changes via Playwright, and records and uploads verification mp4s to PRs. If you've never asked Codex to test your app, do try it!

@ericjackson Problem is it’s not about shipping AI solutions. It’s about the ongoing efforts to maintain, tune and keep secure.

Two weeks ago I had 14 engineers. This week I have 3 core ones, 8 on the broader team + Claude Code. Last night, in a single session: set up a Mac Mini from unboxing, deployed 15 AI agents, connected 3 servers across 2 continents, built a Telegram bot that answers stock questions in 25 seconds using local AI, and created a governance system where the AI publicly debates itself. This is not celebrating layoffs. Those were real people who already have great leads of where to go next. But I'd be lying if I said the math still worked. The gap between what a handful of people can build with AI tooling and what a small team used to ship without it is no longer 2x. It's 10-20x. That's uncomfortable. It's also true. And anyone using the tools knows it.

@ericjackson It’s already mostly bots. For example today you could see hundreds/thousands of charts with the same pattern. Same. Exact. Pattern at the same exact time.

You think markets are fast now? This is still human capital moving. Wait until it’s AI agents + tokenized assets. Everything speeds up. Everything. At that point the edge isn’t prediction. It’s control.

I'm a big believer in open source, especially as AI improves. It was a miss to not mention the Kimi base in our blog from the start. We'll fix that for the next model 🙏 Their team clarified our usage was licensed in the tweet below. x.com/Kimi_Moonshot/…

Congrats to the @cursor_ai team on the launch of Composer 2! We are proud to see Kimi-k2.5 provide the foundation. Seeing our model integrated effectively through Cursor's continued pretraining & high-compute RL training is the open model ecosystem we love to support. Note: Cursor accesses Kimi-k2.5 via @FireworksAI_HQ ' hosted RL and inference platform as part of an authorized commercial partnership.
