Reflecting on an important day for everyone that continues to be involved in #LongCovid advocacy and research. I was (un)fortunate to be in the room to hear #BorisJohnson at the @covidinquiryuk and visit Downing Street to deliver a letter asking for recognition & funding for LC!

I thoroughly enjoyed helping to facilitate the first stage of the 2024/25 @DerbyCC Youth Mayor and Deputy Youth Mayor elections. 14 amazing young people from across the City's schools showcased a very bright future for Derby.

This a call to action to businesses. What are you doing to support the transition of young people with special educational needs and disabilities into employment? Supported Internships are evidence based programmes that bridge the gap between education and employment for SEND

One week on since the @DerbyUni Novemeber #DerbyGrad ceremonies. I love these days. I love seeing so many students graduate, celebrate with those close to them and each other. I love the people I get to work with. These are the days that matter.

Enjoyed the opportunity to talk to University of Derby trainee teachers today about maths anxiety.

A fantastic example of broadening and deepening interpersonal relationships within a Supported a Internship. The work community is more than work itself, it’s an important arena to form social relationships in a public, mainstream environment.

The #WideningAccessDerby team have been at @InfoLCS and @Granville_dft tonight, advising pupils and parents about post-16 and post-18 options. I was non-stop from start to finish with questions about going to university. Last one out the door!
