🚨 NEW AT HIRAETH!
Matt Gaspers Wants the Machine Without the Name
He insists he is not part of Trad Inc., even as he platforms it, protects it, and attacks those who expose it. His guest list, his rhetoric, and his public behavior tell a different story.

Photo of one of the responding officers during yesterday's false alarm at Florida A&M University.
He must take occluded shooting very seriously as he has his front cap down whilst responding to an "active shooter" situation.
Also, he appears to be a right handed shooter. If so, I have no idea how he's going to activate that light with the tailcap mounted behind the VFG 🔦
I cropped the guys face out as this isn't a post to dog on this dude; just a reminder to check your home/self defense gear set ups so you don't end up doing occluded shooting on a two way range in the dark because you can't activate your WML with a proper grip.
Check your set up accordingly...

Today, we were honored to celebrate U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Jason Pacheco as he moves into his mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home built by the Gary Sinise Foundation.
From a young age, Jason discovered a natural talent for shooting - a skill that would ultimately lead him to the Marine Corps and into the Scout Sniper Platoon. After graduating at the top of his class and earning the title of High Shooter, he deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as a Scout Sniper Team Leader.
Just three months into his deployment, Jason was pinned down in a four-hour firefight. While conducting a battle damage assessment, he stepped on an improvised explosive device. The blast caused a traumatic brain injury, a below-the-knee amputation, a fractured femur, blown eardrums, and widespread shrapnel injuries.
Through months of intense recovery, Jason pushed himself to heal and return to the Marines he had promised to stand beside. Less than a year after his injuries, he became one of the first three Marine Corps amputees to return to a combat zone on full duty, a testament to his determination, resilience, and commitment to his fellow Marines.
Today, Jason continues to move forward with strength and purpose, raising his children and participating in adaptive sports, including hockey and track, with hopes of one day competing at the Paralympic level.
This home will provide Jason with the accessibility, independence, and stability he deserves as he continues building his life forward.
Jason shared, "We have our forever home, thank you is not enough."
Welcome home, Jason, and thank you for your extraordinary courage and sacrifice. 💙

Pictures published by USA Today show meals served recently to Sailors onboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72), as well as Marines serving on the USS Tripoli (LHA-7), an America-class amphibious assault ship, both of which are currently deployed to the Arabian Sea in order to enforce the ongoing naval blockade against coastal areas of Iran.

@FredSimonTLM The bishops seem to all be using the same consultants. Same jargon, same answer to crumbling dioceses and the same consolidation plans. We now have “pastorates” as well and just tore down a parish church.

Dave Pollins joined the Marines in 1969, deploying to Vietnam as a radio operator.
He served his first three months with 1st Recon Battalion, and then six months with Fox Battery 2/11. He was no fan of the M16 after realizing it jammed all the time.
Instead, he carried an M2 Carbine from WWII he took off a dead Viet Cong soldier.

@father_rmv @deskjockymov1 A veritable morass of subjectivism. Nothing matters. Literally nothing except whatever the new thing is. Often, I cannot even tell what the new-new guy is saying other than it contradicts what the old guys said.

Ex cathedra, a Latin phrase meaning “from the chair,” denotes a specific and solemn mode of teaching within the Church. It refers exclusively to the exercise of papal infallibility, whereby the pope, when speaking in his official capacity as supreme pastor and teacher of the universal Church, defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church with divine and irrevocable authority.
This prerogative is not exercised lightly or frequently. For a pronouncement to qualify as ex cathedra, four precise conditions must be met:
a) the Pope must speak as universal pastor and teacher;
b) he must intend to define a doctrine;
c) the doctrine must pertain to faith or morals;
d) he must manifest his intention that the teaching be held definitively and absolutely by all the faithful.
When these conditions are fulfilled, the resulting definition is considered protected by the Holy Spirit from error, possessing the same infallibility that belongs to the Church itself.
Historically, the formal definition of papal infallibility occurred at the First Vatican Council in 1870 through the dogmatic constitution Pastor Aeternus.
Two instances are universally recognized as meeting the ex cathedra criteria: the definition of the Immaculate Conception by Pope Pius IX in 1854 (Ineffabilis Deus) and the definition of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Pope Pius XII in 1950 (Munificentissimus Deus). No other papal statements have been authoritatively classified as ex cathedra by the Church’s magisterium, underscoring the extraordinary and reserved nature of this charism.
The ex cathedra teaching authority serves as the ultimate safeguard of doctrinal unity and fidelity to divine revelation, ensuring that certain truths essential to salvation are preserved without ambiguity or corruption across generations. It is an expression of the Church’s belief in Christ’s promise to guide His Church into all truth, exercised through the visible head of the apostolic college.

ORIGIN OF THE LAST GOSPEL
Little known historical fact where the laity actually made a difference in official Church matters.
Where did this reading originate?
The custom originates from the Middle Ages. At that time, as in early times also, the faithful had a great devotion to the having a portion read over them, and the commencement of that of St. John was a special favorite. Demands at last became so multiplied, that the number of priests was insufficient to satisfy all.
To simplify the matter, it was decided to recite it over all there assembled, at the end of the Mass.
Dom Prosper Guéranger-
The devotion of the faithful, therefore, alone was the origin and cause of this beautiful addition to the Holy Mass.
