@CoachKurzawski And your website is literally offering training (indoor I bet) and AAU teams. Isn't that completely the opposite of kids playing pickup outside?

@CoachKurzawski You were using these talking points to let organizers off the hook for charging ridiculous prices. You act as though half of the relationships between parents and kids are shitty and that kids need to "breathe"? So many talking points that are all intertwined into nothingness.

Basketball Twitter constantly complains that kids aren’t outside on the playground grinding anymore. Want to know why? Because half these same parents won’t even let their kid walk down the street by themselves anymore. So instead of pickup games at the park, it’s phones, video games, and sitting inside. We killed independence and then act shocked kids don’t act independent. I suggested maybe parents don’t need to attend every single AAU game either - sit in the car, grab a coffee, let the kid breathe for two hours - and check out the comments. People acted like I suggested abandoning children in the wilderness. Meanwhile we used to disappear for entire summers playing basketball at the park until the street lights came on. These kids are toast, man.

I often see parents complaining about the ridiculous prices of AAU tournaments - and honestly, they’re completely right. The cost of hotels, food, gas, & tournament fees has gotten out of control. With that said, parents also don’t need to be at every single game. Many high-level AAU programs travel to events without large parent groups following them around, and the players survive just fine. In some cases, kids actually play better when they’re able to compete independently without feeling like every possession is being analyzed from the bleachers. You drop your kid off at school every day and leave - and that’s far more important than a weekend basketball game. Part of sports is learning responsibility, confidence, independence, and how to compete without needing mom and dad sitting courtside every possession.

It is so mind boggling to me that we have people in the coaching industry that still don’t understand why shooting 3s is better than shooting mid range shots. OHH and 1 more thing… why someone has the green light to shoot a 3? But not a midrange jumper😂😂😂 Why can’t people understand basic math and basic common sense. It is insane.

You coaches who tell players not to take midranges kill me. Which implies to me you don’t care enough about the overall player development of a player and more about your team Analytics. Everyone needs to be score at all three levels. AT THE RIM - MID Range - 3 Pointers -

@arhooptalk It's really funny that a big reason drivers value the lines on the road so much is because they think it creates lanes on the highway and have no clue they don't. That's just a transportation truth.

It's really funny that a big reason the basketball community values the three point shot so much is because they think it provides floor spacing and have no clue it doesn't. That's just a basketball truth.

@educator4ever36 1. I think there are so many reasons that recess could be taken away. To blanket statement and say "no" simply disregards situations. 2. I would say "physed" is the same as English or Math class. 3. I guess you've brough this up to sell your services. Do you guarantee results?

@RuzyJ13 Some teachers responding to my post are saying that but I still hold to my opinion. Recess should be treated the same as math or English class.

@educator4ever36 So then, in theory, sitting a student out for recess may work for some students.

@RuzyJ13 I didn’t say I didn’t have solutions, but generally I charge for that work because I’d give advice and strategies based on the school’s data. There really is no one size that fits all.

Things are going terrible for @JDVance at the Republican TPUSA event. Someone in the crowd yells “you’re killing children.” FACT Check: The Trump/Vance administration bombed children.

@RuzyJ13 @EdKrassen @JDVance It’s obvious. If that were their intent why wouldn’t they just go after all the civilians in Iran? Obviously they are only targeting the regime leadership and military targets. Along with aspects of their nuclear program.

@EdKrassen @JDVance You make it sound like they intentionally targeted children. That’s a very gross way to do politics.

@siomoCTV Paper alone for this in Ontario would be over $200,000 per year based on our vendors. That's not including envelopes and printer cartridges.

@joshuatheard @Mikie_MO @teachthemx3 I use them for specific assignments. Teachers should be using differentiation when teaching and triangulating data so that students have a chance to be challenged/successful. Could changes be made? Sure, but that usually comes with increased funding. We know how that goes over.

The current format of schools: Teacher teaches a lesson then assigns practice. Some students finish in 10 minutes and sit for the remainder of class. Some finish by the end of class. Some finish at home or over multiple days. Some never do it. These students should not all be in the same class together.

@JBradshaw01 My first LTO ever a parent demanded I bump up marks bc it would be hard to get into specialized HS program based on current mark. She said "it's not fair bc other schools do it" I said "I agree that it isn't fair for other schools to do it" She was baffled.
