"No matter how the Prime Minister tries to redefine offensive as defensive, this is a slippery slope. He must not let Trump drag Britain into another prolonged war in the Middle East.

Polanski is an appalling snob and, frankly, something of a physical and emotional coward.
There are plenty of jobs in this country that involve difficult, awkward or downright unpleasant tasks, and they’re not confined to the working classes. Doctors perform gruesome operations and deeply embarrassing examinations, but they do it because it saves lives. Nurses look after people at their most vulnerable, and yes, that can be awkward, but it’s essential, dignified work.
That’s why his whole ‘I don’t want to wipe someone’s bum’ line is so offensive. Parents do this for their children. Carers do it for disabled and elderly people. Most British people - left, right, whatever - simply get on with it, because they understand that responsibility and compassion aren’t beneath them.
Polanski seems to think the role of immigrants is to act as a kind of helot underclass to handle the tasks he considers beneath him. He never stops to consider what this attitude says about him, or what it means for the country. It’s a revolting mindset.

Labour and Plaid spent £55 million on Nation of Sanctuary policies to help foreign nationals, while Welsh people struggle to get an ambulance. At one point last year 340 people were waiting on hold to try to call an ambulance. Beyond disgusting. This ends under Reform.
