Let me reverse this argument for you: I have far more in common with Caleb Durbin or Luis Matos than I do with Shohei Ohtani or Aaron Judge. A salary floor + cap with an equitable revenue split might hurt the mega earners, but it's going to help 99% of the players...

The MLBPAs proposal did absolutely nothing to address what the Dodgers and Mets are doing and in fact wants to remove draft pick and International Slot money penalties from the luxury cap penalties. Its not to see why. Additionally the MLB's offer actually gives more $ to players

In the MLB proposal, I was curious how they expected the lower market teams to catch up to the floor.
An even split of TV money is huge and I didn't think teams that own their own networks would go for it.

I’m pro-player and anti salary cap. The median pitcher career from 1989–2019 was 3 years, and emphasis on velocity has likely shortened it now. Many players don’t even make it to arbitration. Protecting earning power and/or career longevity feels like a union priority

I'm getting feedback from some Seniors, saying that only young people should have to pay property taxes because it's the young people that have children in the public schools.
That because Seniors don't make use of the public schools, they shouldn't have to help pay for them.
Okay, sure -- I can appreciate this logic.
So now, let's readjust everyon'e healthcare insurance costs.
Younger people barely need medical assistance at all -- so we can go ahead and adjust their rates DOWN.
Older people, however, quite often need medical assistance -- so we can do ahead and adjust their rates UP -- by right around 60%, according to the best estimates.
Afterall, we wouldn't want younger people subsidizing something that they don't personally use, right?
