What a shame! Rather than focus on its core municipal responsibilities, the neglect of which are likely contributing factors to these closures, the @CityOfVictoria throws our money around as a stop gap. We can’t afford them. #yyjpoli

Different one today. My Samsung washing machine stopped with an "SC" error, which means it can't pump water out. This machine is 7 years old and has never given us any issues. I had to take it apart to access the pump which I had never done. Will I fix it? Find out below! 👇

@wdbowkett Matt Dell recently stated on X that it’s time for surrounding communities to take more responsibility for providing social services in their own communities. He didn’t state any specific policies or strategies to achieve this though.

+10yrs ago, as Chair of the Downtown Res Assoc, a rep from a major service provider stated we should NOT put any more social services Downtown as it would bring us to a tipping point. The City doesn’t listen & here we are today. Bad leadership is destroying the heart of our city

@CoachDanGo In the US south they sell a half lemon and lump of salt, wrapped in Saran Wrap on the counter at gas stations. I asked what it was and the clerk said it’s to rehydrate after hangovers.

This is one of my favorite drinks on the planet. I call it The Sober Margarita. It’s sparkling water, lime juice, and sea salt lining the brim of the glass. The sparkling water keeps you full and aids digestion. The lime juice supports your liver. The sea salt restores your electrolytes. It’s healthy, has 3 ingredients, zero alcohol, and tastes delicious.

The reason Boomers remain enamoured with this government is straightforward: they are insulated from the worst and perhaps the most regressive policy decision in Canadian history. Open borders devalued wage labour, crushed youth employment, lifted rents, and put home ownership out of reach.

My question to @TheHerleBurly: I was born with a cleft lip and palate. The resulant surgeries have left me with scars on my face, in my mouth, and a misshapen nose. I was bullied mercilessly in my youth as a result of this defect and a prominent lisp. Do these things make me "too unattractive physically to be successful in politics"?

NEW: Liberal strategist @TheHerleBurly attacks Conservative MP @jamiljivani calling him "too unattractive physically to be successful in politics."

Every day I see 100% equity ETFs like VEQT/XEQT recommended with zero consideration for the investor's risk profile. That’s a mistake. PWL Capital just made our client risk profiling tool available to the public. For free. 👇

@wdbowkett The city site has this description: Scope of Work: The City of Victoria will be moving traffic signals at the southeast corner of Cook St. and Rockland Ave. in advance of BC Hydro’s planned work to replace their hydro pole at that location

More random lanes closed today @ Cook&Rockland. Wonder if it's required infrastructure work being done? If yes, great. Or are we seeing more "road improvements" we were never consulted on, asked for or approved? If only there was a way the City could inform us? #PublicTrust #Fail

@bigham_h @globalnews They didn’t cheat according to IBSF. The US athlete was trying to get enough points to get to the Olympics by competing against less experienced athletes. She was manipulating the system, just didn’t work out for her.

Don't know where he was arrested but Los Cabos is where Canadian drug traffickers (mostly the Hells from Vancouver) own restaurants, nightclubs, shares in beachside hotels and where they have high level meetings with Mexican cartels. Ask any Canadian bank.

He posted on instagram 21 hours ago. Bad move. Former Canadian Olympian Ryan Wedding (44) — once on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted with a $15M reward — has been arrested, reportedly in Mexico, U.S. media including NBC News report.

@SteveSaretsky Most of the subsidies haven’t been paid out because they are production based to be paid out over 10 years. So no, billions weren’t wasted yet. Technology improvements to battery chemistry and production are probably a bigger risk to the investment over the coming decade.

So the Canadian government spent billions of tax dollars building out EV battery plants only to allow state-subsidized Chinese EVs to wipe them out. Great foresight. Billions wasted with no accountability.

I call this crested #saguaro "the catcher's mitt," because when I discovered it in 2010, it looked like a small mitt. I wasn't sure it would crest, but confirmed my suspicions were right! It's been YEARS since I checked and I was delighted to see how it's evolved.
