My (very left curve) predictions for the rest of the cycle Overall: IF (and this is a huge if) macro plays ball and spx generally goes up and to the right, we haven't even begun to party. Most alts are well below ATH, we haven't had a proper alt season yet. We haven't had anything even remotely close to the mania of last cycles tops. People are not aiming high enough. The high prevalence of sports betting and gambling, worsening economic outlook for normal people, and increasing institutional and sovereign buying makes me believe the bids keep coming. Left translated cycle is consensus now, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got a normal length cycle especially given the recent chop and weakness. That said, I get progressively more nervous about macro after elections. In some pain today with alts bleeding but not nervous unless we break HTF structure. NFTs/ordinals: Last cycle, bayc floor got to almost half a mil. Puppets etc at $30k is NOTHING. If macro is good, I bet some 10k collection floor equivalent AT LEAST goes to $700k before the cycle is over. Wouldn't be surprised if ordinals continue to airdrop holders gorillions by the end of the cycle. NFTs are only really going to start popping off after the first alt cycle and people start feeling rich. Same with ponzis but thats a diff topic. AI coins: My personal conviction play of the cycle. Crypto AI market cap is like 20b, a quarter of dogecoins peak and about 1% of Nvidia's current mcap. Web2 AI is already a bubble with NVDA and openai raises and the tech is going to improve rapidly as we move further into the cycle. When we start to enter the froth stage in crypto, AI coins will look like an uncapped potential "this changes everything" opportunity and people are going to lose all sight of reality with the valuations. I think AI x crypto is the perfect storm for the froth stage of the cycle, but we need the nvidia+openai bubble to remain intact to hit peak froth. Meme/shitcoins: I think we keep getting shitcoin cycles and stuff getting to crazy valuations, we only got the test pump so far. Lots of diff theories about why this is the case but overall, I'm with it. I need to get better at applying the gas when conditions are good. That said, I'm just some left cuver on twitter who was only really good at trading pfp NFTs. NFA and take all this info with a grain of salt.
