$BTC may be the king, but even rulers need support to stand. Tectum scales #bitcoin to a whole other level, but also #Ethereum and any coin that will be enabled via #Softnote. How to get your hand on them? 👇 $TET
MANDO CT 🇮🇪 🇦🇪 🇬🇧@XMaximist

If you find my research into new crypto gems beneficial then please engage below because these take a lot of time and work to create. Ever heard of a #Bitcoin L2? A top cybersecurity firm achieved +1M TPS & near-zero cost after four years of dedication! ⚡️ Read this 🧵to understand why you won’t want to sleep on $TET, @tectumsocial. Everyone loves $BTC, but its lack of speed, and high txn costs hinder mass adoption. 🐢 In fact with only 7 TPS, the level of scalability is abysmal. Layer 2 solutions effectively scaled Ethereum, so why not apply the same approach to Bitcoin? Tectum addresses the issue by scaling $BTC using its network, capable of over 1M TPS, ensuring Bitcoin-level security and minimal costs. To put it simply, Tectum achieves this by storing hashes connected to original data at a lower blockchain level instead of storing large data. Not just that, @tectumsocial has more to offer! Meet Softnote - a transactionless payment system with instant payments and near-zero fees. During Bitcoin network congestion, fees can reach tens of dollars per tx, making microtransactions with $BTC nearly impossible. Softnote not only resolves the issue for Bitcoin but also for various other major cryptocurrencies. The concept is straightforward - Softnote acts like a key to your wallet, signifying your ownership. x.com/tectumsocial/s… LPs provide liquidity to Softnotes and burn them when/if they're converted back to the underlying crypto. This enables users to spend their Bitcoin & other cryptocurrencies without moving $BTC from the wallet, resulting in near-zero tx fees and maximum privacy for users. Additionally, Softnotes can be used digitally or printed on paper, and work even if the customer isn't connected to the internet. This offers significant benefits to merchants, as the processing fees are just 1% - much lower than credit card processing fees. @tectumsocial also offers extra products to enhance its ecosystem, including its own wallet that improves the UX for merchants, LPs, and end-users. Additionally, the XFA app (3FA) offers an ultra-secure version of 2FA, aiming to prevent financial scams caused by 2FA incidents. $TET is the native utility token of @tectumsocial! It offers use cases such as redeeming & minting SoftNotes and providing liquidity for others' SoftNotes & more. The pre-sale is underway, and the official launch is set for the first week of July. x.com/tectumsocial/s… As Bitcoin-centric ecosystems like $STX thrive, it's crucial to watch $TET closely. We might be witnessing the rise of the next @arbitrum or @optimismFND, but for $BTC's massive +$580B liquidity. It's highly probable that we'll hear more about $TET in the future...

@TheDoctorLogos It's interesting. I practically see colors in hex values, and it's nowhere close to 0xFFFFFF or any grey value. It very distinctly has a significantly higher blue value. If people who see white can't acknowledge or observe that, it does call into question the blue receptors.

I know I’m beating a dead horse, but it’s gonna piss me off watching everyone miss out on the literal easiest money of our generation You have no idea how wild it’s going to get for Cryptocurrencies, absolutely no idea. I cannot explain it in the depth I’m aware of, without physically giving you my brain But we’re in for one hell of a ride

This 100MW data center in UAE is the largest solar powered datacenter in the world. There are currently 1,300 data centers in the world that are bigger than this one, but this one is the largest solar powered one. That’s 10 square kilometres of solar panels you can see. The datacenter itself is 0.02 square kilometres, so a solar powered datacenter is ~500x larger than a data center using any other form of power. A five hundred times larger site. UAE has some of the highest solar irradiance anywhere on Earth, it is an inhospitable desert. Averaging 9.7 hours of sunlight per day with average irradiance above 2,200 kWh/m^2. If you build this somewhere else, you need more solar panels because your irradiance will almost certainly be lower. Even if the world had an infinite supply of free solar panels, solar power will not be free. Anyone who has ever done major capital projects, who looks at where data centers need to be in the next 5 years and the next 10 years… we know it aint solar. Sorry. You struggle to even build a train track that’s 100 miles long and 10ft wide anywhere in the West, there is zero chance of build 100 square mile solar farms for GW compute. This is why people are talking about space compute. Deploying into space is one strategy to solve the constraints. But there are faster and more scalable strategies, that get you to mass deployment of multi GW data centers. There are strategies that also allow you to power the 10 billion robots and their newtonian actuators, that immediately follow the inference demand cycle. Step back and look at the full cycle of this industrial revolution… There will be billions of chips, but there will be trillions of actuators. This biggest part of this revolution is the embodiment cycle, and it’s big by a factor of 20 or 50x over the stuff that comes before it. There is no analogy in human history for the scale of this economy, of the demand it will place on energy and commodities. The humans own the Earth, and if you exist inside their legal system, they won’t let you turn the surface of their planet into glass. But they do want your chips and your actuators to serve their needs and desires. There is a way to do all of this, and so it will happen.

Red and blue button pushers: who's smarter? In a mostly-subscriber sample who took a brief verbal IQ test, the answer is... Blue pushers! If the whole population has an IQ of 100 with an SD of 15, their mean IQ would be 101.9, versus 97.0 for reds.

@ChrisPacia That’s not my blue button reason at all. “Everyone survives if every pushes red” - requires 100% of people to make the same choice in order for everyone to live. When in the history of humanity has 100% of people ever agreed on anything unless they are forced to?

The pattern played out like this: - Duh Red is the obvious choice. Nobody dies if everyone pushes red. There's not reason to push blue. - Blue button pusher think they have a bullet proof rebuttal... Some confused or irrational people will push blue. Therefore the knee-jerk red reaction is naive and the true enlightened position is that that you must push blue. Unfortunately, that turns out to be the naive position. Consider the following...

@NoPoliSolutions @0xPBIT It's not just my own eh? Every red voter in the original has agency and decides to live, accepting to lose some blue eventually (who make that choice with their own agency too), by pressing red... here it removes that agency completely.

@digitalN0mad49 @0xPBIT In a way it shows that, but given there will be always blue voters even at 99% red and you can't stop them from doing so, getting a blue yourself and maybe dying, then the only sane option is to join the dumb gamble and save all.

@SAAA_T_ @0xPBIT No. It reveals how flawed blue was. The first vote, there is nobody to save. Red vote has 100% chance to save a stranger. Blue risks a strangers life and necessitates others unnecessarily risk others lives. The first blue vote is still the most immoral vote.

@m_xante @0xPBIT To put it into numbers: 50%+1 to 100% blue win, I survive 100%, below 50% blue I die unless I get a red vote for me. Red win 50%+1 to 100% you always have a chance to not make it, even at 99% red, for that blue vote which might get assigned to you.

I'm saying if I expected a big red win in this case then pushing for blue votes would be retarded, own life goes to chance. Obviously I expect the opposite to happen in this poll, blue sweeps, me and other saved. It is risky for me in either case, but a blue win grants better success than praying to get a red.

If it has gone rogue and it's actual ASI, we are doomed. There's little we could tell it to change opinion... maybe we have a chance to actually overthrow it with brute force, if it's not in control of weapon systems. Like a 70 IQ dude can definitely attack a 160 IQ and win, not in all situations but it can happen. The ASI part simply reduces the number of situations.

Doomers these days want to have it both ways: Superintelligence is so powerful that it's going to completely destroy human civilization despite our best attempts to thwart it... ... but it's also weak enough that it can't make meaningful progress on curing any types of cancer (which is something that humans are able to do, albeit slowly)
Tristan Harris@tristanharris

"AI will cure cancer" is one of the most potent, seductive arguments in the race to superintelligence. I lost my mother to cancer in 2018. When someone tells me a technology might have saved her — might save someone else's mother next year — every part of me wants to believe it. That's exactly why we need to examine the promise instead of accepting it on faith. This week on Your Undivided Attention, I sat down with Dr. @Emilia_Javorsky — physician, public health researcher, and director of the Futures Program at @FLI_org , LI: Future of Life Institute (FLI)]. She makes a compelling case for why superintelligence won't 'solve cancer'. And that the trillions being poured into that race are taking away from the work that could actually improve medical outcomes. Why red? Read to the end. My threshold for a real world vote involving this exact question is much more complicated than you'd think. Again some like to bring toddlers or other incapable people in the voting question, using only the precise post message. For all I know these things are also true: the wording doesn't explain anywhere it gets translated into understandable language to any person on the planet. The "has to" doesn't tell what happens if you force yourself to not vote down to the last second or are unconscious at that time, etc (assuming the voting does last 24h like the online poll). But even more importantly in a real world scenario the fact this "magical" voting happens already disrupts society and the entire scientifical knowledge... meaning there will be scores of normal, religious, fanatics, fools, sceptics, fearful etc who scream and panic or do whatever but acting ractionally for the whole day. Some will question if voting even DOES what it says, asking if maybe aliens did this, god did it or whatever result ensues. So in the end there is not two, but three options: do nothing, praying that you live (50% chance). Press the red button, praying it does exactly what it says (50% chance you live) last press blue and... pray it does what it says, meaning 50% it might not even work and you die, or extra 25% you die cause not enough voted blue to reach the 50% voting total, which skews the blue toward a much higher risk. In the end I'm an optimist at core so at least I willingly chose to pick red and hope to live among the other survivors.
