@GBX_Press As soon as Iran gets a nuclear weapon they will be the second country using it. How is that so hard to understand?

Sen. @ChrisCoonsforDE: Is Trump eligible to run for a 3rd term under our Constitution? Trump Judge nominee: Um... I would have to... to review the- the actual wording-- Coons: The language of the 22nd Amendment makes it clear that no, he is not eligible to run for a 3rd term. Anybody else brave enough to say that the Constitution of the United States prevents President Trump from seeking a 3rd term? Trump Judge Nominees: … Coons: Nobody? Alright.

It's the easiest way for a detective to get a docket off his table. You can open a huge can of worms here. Not only for rape cases. If you do an in depth investigation you will be able to proof a lot of perjury. Simply by comparing investigating officers statements regarding his efforts to locate the victim to his pocket book, duty rosters, vehicle tracking, other location and cellular data. Also comparing entries in other docket by him on the same day. Some detectives wait to see if the victim show interest or do enquiries, others just don't care. In a sense, I can understand why they do this, in some cases. Their workload is simply impossible to handle. They are forced into perjury, because there's just no way of investigating all the cases handed to them. That's the real tragedy.

A parliamentary question by DA MP Lisa Schickerling has forced SAPS to disclose that 837 rape cases were closed over the past three financial years because victims could not be traced. That alone should concern every South African. These are not minor administrative files. These are rape cases. Behind every docket is a victim, a family, and a justice process that should have been handled with urgency, care and precision. The SAPS reply raises two immediate red flags. First, SAPS says 837 rape cases were closed because victims could not be traced. But in the same reply, SAPS then says 781 were withdrawn and 105 were undetected. That adds up to 886, not 837. That is a 49-case discrepancy in one parliamentary answer. Second, SAPS says none of these cases involved incorrect or incomplete recording of victims’ contact details, and therefore no consequence management was required. That answer is difficult to accept without a proper audit trail. If a victim in a rape case cannot be traced, SAPS must be able to show exactly what was done before the docket was closed. Were addresses verified? Were phone numbers checked? Were family contacts followed up? Were FCS commanders involved? Were victim support records checked? Were prosecutors consulted? Were any of these cases reopened? The public cannot be asked to simply accept that hundreds of rape victims became untraceable, while SAPS simultaneously insists that no contact details were incorrectly recorded and that nobody was negligent. This is exactly why parliamentary questions matter. They force information into the open and allow Parliament to test whether SAPS systems are working as they should. The Portfolio Committee on Police must now demand a corrected answer, a station-by-station breakdown, and a full explanation of the tracing process used before rape dockets are closed. Justice for victims requires more than slogans. It requires disciplined case management, proper supervision, and real accountability when the system fails. Credit to Lisa Schickerling MP for placing this on the parliamentary record. IC

@JohnDoe_ZAR @Action4SA Whatever ASA says or promises means nothing. It's not worth the time reading their manifesto. They flip-flop back and forth. They have no principles and will sell their sole for a bowl of soup.

I just read the 70 page manifesto of @Action4SA , I was so close to being deceived, I nearly shared my vote with them. On page 28-29, it reads “Action SA will repeal BBBEE and replace with it with an inclusive EE framework that focuses on equality of opportunity rather than compliance-driven racial outcomes” So for starters, I don’t think @Action4SA knows what BBBEE is and secondly, I don’t think they are well informed on the inequalities in the country. @GaytonMcK was right… @Action4SA is actually more dangerous than the DA, their policies are not too far from the @Our_DA

There are rumors that Elon Musk may be exploring a takeover of the bankrupt Spirit Airlines, with ambitious plans to revolutionize the air travel experience. Imagine the possibilities: Optimus humanoid robot flight attendants, seamless Starlink connectivity, AI-powered travel planning, frictionless payments through X, and door-to-door service with Robotaxi. What do you think? @elonmusk

I travel quite a lot. Jhb, Pretoria, Durban, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, East Londen, Port Elizabeth. I'm not sure where exactly you go when you come to Cape Town, but if you're going to the City, it's a perfect city. Sea Point promenade, Waterfront and the popular tourist areas are sublime. But, it's Bo blink onder stink. Let's hook up next time then I'll take you for a drive. It's really important to see the signs early and take action before it's too late. Like you see elsewhere. The policies of Mr Lewis are slowly creating another Johannesburg. Do just one thing next time as an example. Go up signal hill. Try to use the public toilet there without puking. And this is a tourist spot! Besides, since when are we striving for just "good enough" or in this case, "not as bad as the others"? We must strive for excellence.

@SA_Worldview @MulderCorn How often do you go to other metro's in the country? I go to Cpt for a few weeks each year, and its MILES ahead of everything. Every stat proves it. Audits, unemployment, service delivery. People being willing to pay crazy property prices to move there proves that it IS a success

Hey @grok due to our unique socio-economic issues in SA, violent crimes like assault, domestic violence etc may skew the statistics. This post is mostly about "crime" so, exclude assault and domestic violence from your previous answer. Only consider violent robberies with or without weapons and property crime.

**SAPS stats don't routinely break down violent crime victims by race.** They focus on crime type/location. Recent farm murder data (2025, per Police Minister) was an exception: most victims were Black. The "vast majority non-white" claim comes from absolute numbers + demographics (Blacks ~82% of SA's 63M population per Stats SA 2025). Stats SA's Victims of Crime surveys provide some race breakdowns for household crimes. **Proportionally:** Home robbery rates were similar (~1.1%) across groups in 2023/24. Housebreaking was slightly higher for White households (6.7% vs 5.7% Black African). Broader studies show higher per capita violent crime/murder victimization among Black and Coloured groups overall.

@LCabonena A killer should not be confused with an executioner. The killer will keep killing innocent people. The executioner will only kill the killers. As the killers become less the executioner execute less. This is why capital punishment works. You stop the killings dead...

Thoughts, on Geordin Hill Lewis, @geordinhl … ““He [Robin Hood] is held to be the first man who assumed a halo of virtue by practicing charity with wealth which he did not own, by giving away goods which he had not produced, by making others pay for the luxury of his pity. […] It is the foulest of creatures – the double-parasite who lives on the sores of the poor and the blood of the rich – whom men have come to regard as a moral idea.””
