@SimonKelly1184 Sounds like a good balanced strategy 👌 I’m keeping it simple with VWRP for now, but I like the idea of a core ETF base before adding dividend stocks. Which 3 ETFs do you hold?

@SB7Invests I hold 3 ETFs to cover the whole world and make it flexible for me to overweight a position if needed. 2 Dividend stocks for income, paying a blended yield of around 7.75/8%. Monitor these for ongoing business health.

Portfolio question 📈 Do you prefer: A) One simple ETF B) 2–3 ETFs C) ETF core + individual stocks D) Full stock picking I’m keeping it simple for now, but curious how others structure theirs.

GM all! ☕📈 I’ve been a little quieter than usual with everything that’s been going on recently. That said, the portfolio hasn’t stopped working. Dividends are still arriving. They’re still being reinvested. And the compounding machine keeps quietly ticking away in the background. Sometimes the best investing happens when you’re not doing very much at all. @earnlearninvest I was a smoker for nearly 20 years, been smoke free for just over a year now and it has been one of the best decisions I have made! Now everything I was investing in tobacco I now invest into my portfolio 📈

How is anyone affording to smoke in 2026? A pack of 20 now averages £16-17. A 20-a-day habit is roughly £5,800-£6,000 a year. A 10-a-day habit is still nearly £2,900. That's a holiday. A car. A deposit top-up. Gone, in smoke, literally. I'm not here to judge anyone's habits, but the price genuinely shocks me!

@DividendDrip I’m tempted to add a small bit of $MSFT, but trying to stay disciplined with VWRP as the main core. Hard to ignore quality companies when they’re having a rough patch though 👀

You can buy $MSFT, the third best company for a trailing twelve-month (TTM) net income at a discount last seen 26 years ago.

@Road_to_100k_ That makes a lot of sense. I like the idea of the “boring” ETF doing most of the work, then having a small stock-picking pot to scratch the itch without risking the whole plan.

@SB7Invests C! Definitely think ETFs are the way forward, and will forever be the large majority of my portfolio. However, I'm personally giving myself a % to experiment with individual stocks. I find the research element quite exciting
