Part of the problem with the discourse over the 49ers drafting is two extreme views. 1. They suck at drafting 2. They've drafted perfectly fine, no issues and have been great. The truth is they've been OK at drafting the past 6-7 years. They have 15 home grown players who've played significant snaps, but havent had a lot of blue chip perfromance. Theyve hit a lot of singles and doubles, but no home runs.

“They have 15 home grown players who've played significant snaps, but havent had a lot of blue chip perfromance.” That’s the issue. 2 Pro Bowl picks (1 isn’t here anymore) since 2021 and when you have several stars who only have 2-4 seasons left is concerning. And the guys who are leaving aren’t just pro bowl talent, their all pro talent
