@fesshole I took a shortcut through a cemetery once and saw a guy pop up from behind a headstone. “Morning” I said… He said, “No, I was having a shit”.

Using the cemetery as a short cut I glance at graves and disapprove of couples with a big age difference. If a wife has long outlived her husband, however, I think 'Good for her.'

Bought a ground floor flat in Plymouth in 2009. Very quickly got sick of the same two people sitting on my window ledge at lunch. So I painted it, waited for them to sit and propped a note on the window quietly.

@mr_englishteach I grew up an avid reader. Now I have kids of my own one of the highlights of my day is listening to them read, understand their book and then talk about it. The other highlight of the day is reading to them at bedtime. I hope this habit lasts a lifetime with them. Excellent work

Parents(especially dads), teachers (especially male) and any other influential adults: let's have these conversations more. Let's model reading. And let's try to make sure that peer pressure doesn't exacerbate gender attainment gaps. END

Why boys don't read* - a story in microcosm... My 11-year-old son loves reading. He's into sport, gaming, TV etc. but hoovers up books. He races through YA fiction, so I've started him on some classics from my bookshelves, which he's really enjoyed... >

I've just tried on a pair of shoes that actually belonged to someone who was trying on a new pair of shoes and it might be the worst moment of my life.
