Steve Kerr believes that Jonathan Kuminga would have developed better if he had been drafted by a bad team “The optimal circumstance for JK when he entered the NBA would have been to go to a bad team. Instead, he came to a championship team. But the way to develop in this league is to play 30, 35 minutes every night, make your mistakes, learn from your mistakes, grow, be able to do it out of the spotlight. And he wasn’t able to do any of those things (here), and I recognize that. That’s why I’m really hoping that the change in scenery will be what he needed.” (Via @NickFriedell / h/t @TheNBABase )

If Kuminga played defense like Nate Williams did, I would never have advocated for his trade. Watch when Nate steals the ball and Kuminga follows him in transition. If you're a hooper and you could jump like Kuminga, wouldn't you try to pin that Nate layup attempt to the glass? I would certainly try. This is why I said to trade him since 4 damn years ago, because you can't teach a player to be a dog, you either have it in you or you don't. That's the thing all these players in the media who don't even watch him play don't understand when they kept saying Kuminga is gonna go crazy somewhere else - no he freaking won't, he will always play one-way basketball because if it hasn't changed in 5 years, that means that's who he is. Watch him in the playoffs. I promise you, he's going to hurt that team if given big minutes and Hawks fans will be out on him. Fast.

The warriors staff have coached Kuminga for 5 seasons they know all his tendencies and weaknesses, their picking at his handle, setting up zones knowing he wants to get downhill, not sure why y'all thought he would go off today lol

Nate Williams was highly efficient in leading all Golden State Warriors bench players in scoring while putting together an excellent all-around game in a blowout loss at the Atlanta Hawks to earn tonight’s @FDSportsbook Player of the Game honors!

JK why are you not driving to the basket.
