Last night I spoke on Newsnight about my £90k student loan. But what I wanted to highlight was the generational inequality young people have faced. Over the last decade my generation has experienced falling living standards, housing that feels completely out of reach, and a student finance system where maintenance grants were scrapped meaning graduates from backgrounds like mine leave university with the highest levels of debt. 🧵

Just a reminder despite what Kemi Badenoch says she would do now, my generation isn’t struggling by accident. Tory decisions meant we’ve faced unaffordable housing, insecure renting and student loans that grow faster than we can pay them off. Young people know the Tories did this, that’s why they voted them out.
