@Mr_davisj The exact reason why injures continue to rise in the field. Most coaches can’t move nor have they ever. Might as well just play computer games!

Hot Take The strength and conditioning field would be much better off if coaches admit they program the way they like to train. This would let us know certain metrics and data is bias and more honest about who we choose to follow

When people talk “Decel” training they seem to rarely talk about the values in horizontal jumps, skips and bounding. These underutilized tools are imo better options than any banded horizontal decel exercise

New Tech - Just old ideas repackaged Don't stress if you feel your sprint profiles don't look sexy. 50 years ago we knew that step velocity, length, and frequency mattered & could track this using available technology. Are we trying to win or look good on social media?

A good physique is a cheat code as a strength coach. It’s hard for guys to listen to a coach tell them how to get jacked when he doesn’t look the part. Physique isn’t the primary focus of a good S&C program, but for most athletes it’s the way they judge weight room success.

So if @mboyle1959 has been taking flack for over 15 years about general training on 1 leg or 2 legs. What hope do I have to get team sport programs to do a little less of that and prioritise training efforts to build speed on the field. So we can practice better?

Single leg squat vs double leg squat is a false dichotomy. Anyone who tells you to only do one is wrong.Yes, Coach Boyle that does include you. With all due respect, back squats should not be made to be a villain. I am glad you made people realize the importance of single leg squatting - but it did not need to come at the cost of the back squat. I still love you coach.
