today, I present to you but a small snippet of audio from Anita sarkeesian provided to me from a game company. In this small snippet, she slips up, but this is what she tells companies with 0 evidence other than some trust me bros and pretty sounding words. Luckily, not everyone she spoke to bought her bullshit. "what WE expect of game developers" "building more equitable spaces" "DEMANDING things" "...that are for US- ah, what am I trying to say? .....We are less accepting of the status quo that is actually harming the vast majority of people!" Most of her talks are the same, but in private, she is much more forward about shaping things in a matter SHE sees fitting, while trying to constantly convince companies not to do what they actually want to. I just found it fascinating how within the first 5 minutes of a 45 min recording, she just can't help herself already. Notice the use of equitable too. Wants everyone to have the same outcome but that isn't what game development is. There will be winners and losers, talent and no talent. And she spends 45 minutes arguing for why you shouldn't make what you want and instead cater to her and her group that have led to countless closures and firings now.

It still stuns me when people are surprised that when they surround themselves with cancel culture freaks, that they get canceled for the most insignificant things lol It’s a car. Who cares.
